In short: too many runners, parking a nightmare. Considering all the reviews from previous years, you wouldve thought the organisers would ve learnt! In full: First race of the year for us and a beautiful day for it. Shame that we had to queue off the A38 for ages to park. Not enough loo's so all a bit of a rush before the start of the race. A good course but i didnt feel it allowed enough space for the huge number of runners so PB potential limited. Also felt it was a great shame that the organisers had not anticipated the numbers better-not really on to miss out on goody bags and medals etc-never mind a bottle of water! In short: Fabulous couse, PB potential, awful organisation. In full: The course itself was flat & definitely had PB potential, although felt sorry for the elites who were hindered on their 2nd lap as they had to negate through the slower runners.(2 x 5k laps) The organisation was poor! Far too many runners! After 30 mins plus of cueing for the only car park, I had to park & then run (literally) There was talk of a 15 minute start delay to accomodate the tail back on the A38 but then with no warning clacton sounded & they were off. At the end I queued for my time & was listed as a someone else & the incorrect time. My daughter who ran with me had the correct name but a time some 25 minutes quicker than she run?? After another 10 minute queue for goody bags & medals & I was told there was none left. Even told "if i'd run quicker i would of got a medal" Nice!!!!! A joke to get off the car park another 20/25 minutes. I complained to the events organiser who felt that it was my responsibility to have foreseen the queue of traffic & that the times would be rectified & the medals sent out in the post... Very disappointed!

In short: Hazardous In full: I have run this race before but was spectating this year. Definitely won't be entering again based on what I saw - parking issues causing traffic backlog on A38 for 2 miles; a van allowed to manoeuvre directly in the path of the lead runners with marshalls/police just watching it; a car entering the taped finishing area along with the lead car which blocked the leading runners and spectators had to break the tape to get the cars out the way; most runners couldn't tell where the finish was as there were flags which looked like the finish (but weren't) and many started walking at that point. Sounds like the timing system was inaccurate too. Over-priced and unsafe. Was planning to enter Lichfield Half Marathon that is organised by the same company but have changed my mind after what I saw at this 10K. Date of review: March 13, 2012

In short: Iffy In full: First Fradley 10k Course good, but awful organisation and timing.
1 - Organisation : Me and my fiancé were waiting at the start about 10am. A few families enquiring when the 2K would start, man (supposedly in the know) on the start line states both races start from that point, family asks again, confirmed again. 2K race is presumed to be running late. 10:10am family recieves phone call, 2K race already started, family raging, children disappointed = useless organisation.
2 - Timing : I started the race at approximately 10:30, probably a quarter from the front of the pack. Finish time by my watch 00:45:37, chip time 01:02:07....what the hell?! I got back to my car before 11:30...and I ain't got a Delorean!!
Sort it out. For the expense and the amount of runners its a disgrace. I know i'm not the only one. Date of review: March 12, 2012

In short: Potentially good race spoilt by poor organiser. In full: I confirm other critical comments made about the excessive greed displayed by the organiser KP Events. The net receipts from circa 1000, entries plus sponsorship, should be sufficient to provide veterans prizes, accurate times and the usual goody bag. This race is in the wrong hands Date of review: March 12, 2012

In short: Very nice race, very flat & easy to follow 2 lap course. In full: This is the third time of doing this run & enjoyed it as much as the other 2, easy to get to, simple parking & no real problems. The course was well marshalled & signposted with signs every kilometre. I think the people who have complained about parking, etc need to think about getting there a little earlier, I arrived at ten past nine & there was no issues. Thanks to everyone involved in making this an enjoyable event. Date of review: March 12, 2012

In short: Great PB potential, shame about the organisation. In full: 3rd year at Fradley and it is the course that does it for me. It's my PB event and so it means a lot to me to come back and have another go each year.
Same issue repeated from previous years with inadequate access to/from parking area, but the rest of the organisation was very poor and much worse than I have experienced before at this event.
The times were significantly out for many people, with some having no time recorded at all - one lady told her time was not recorded because she crossed the finish time alongside else and the system only records one time.
I was fortunate to be one of the last to receive a bottle of water at the end, but I didn't make it in time to the medals, tshirts and goody bags, so joined a very long queue to leave my name and go home empty handed - no, take that back, I did have the option of a black banana. In short: Good course. In full: Flat fast course. Hope the timekeeping was accurate. For some reason the clock was 100m from the finish line, in fact I had to run around it so not 100% sure of my time. Arrived early and finished top 20 so no other problems. Date of review: March 11, 2012

In short: typical KP event In full: Too many people in my opinion. It was ridiculous that they had not catered for the full number of runners-My wife was the last one to get a medal. Don't understand the comments regarding short course. Stood in a queue for 10 mins to get my time and still don't know my official time-was told they were 20 secs out. Having said all that it's a PB course and pleasent enough at that. Please KP learn some lessons. Date of review: March 11, 2012
