In full: A nice fast flatish 4 lap course with a few gentle gradients just to make it more interesting. Runners share the road with traffic for a few short sections . A great speed endurance workout which is great preparation for a fast marathon time. Thanks to the marshalls and volunteers at drink stations who did a great job.

Not being a club runner I enjoyed the low key feel of the event compared to the more popular mass events. For instance the use of the small clubhouse for changing and showering took me back to my school days. Though being a club dominated event it may put off some beginners.

In short: Great event, well organised with splendid marshals
In full: Really enjoyed my first crack at this event. The course was more interesting than I expected and I found the 4 lap format helpful for pacing and knowing where to push it on the 4th lap. The marshals were very helpful, especially the enthusiastic lady on lap 4 who was the same lady mentioned many times last year. Good atmosphere in the club as well.

In short: Excellent race brilliant preparation for the marathon
In full: Lovely marshals who were very encouraging and supportive. Overall organisation excellent and the easy lap structure and relatively flat course made this a nice fast race to run. Thanks to hillingdon ac for an excellent day and nice medal!!!

In short: A great trial for the spring marathon
In full: A challenging undulating course, good water stations and some brialliant marshalls, especially just after 4 miles, she had enough energy for everybody.

My only critisism is that a few of the marshalls appeared to be more interested in chatting with each other rather then actually marshalling their junctions, but on the whole a cracking race.

In short: Well organised race. Good for fast runners and beginners preparing for a marathon.
In full: As usual, the marshals were well-organised and very supportive. The 4-lap format is excellent for pacing yourself. The distance reminds you that the marathon is not going to be easy! You need to take car of cars on mile 2 of each lap, but as long as you keep well to the left this is not really a problem. Thank you to all at Hillingdon AC.

In short: enjoyable 4 lap race
In full: Not everyone would enjoy doing a 4 lap 20 miler however I found it excellent for pacing & particularly motivating to know I was passing a particular marshal or geographical feature for the final time. Nice looking home made cakes featured at the end.
