In short: Lovely route, beautiful and varied scenery in the New Forest
In full: My first time, and I will recommend to others and do again. Great atmosphere, really friendly marshalls and well organised. Weather was perfect too!

Only minor grumble relates to the use of headphones. There was no comment about not being allowed to use headphones in the literature that came with the running number and I am pretty sure no mention on the website. Five minutes before the start of the race I happened to hear an announcement that said the use of headphones was prohibited - which was surprising as it was an off-road route. Not the end of the world not to run to music, but if that is the rule, then a) make it crystal clear in the literature and on the website, and b) enforce the rule - some people didn't hear or chose to ignore the announcment and still had their headphones. But a very minor grumble - all in all a fantastic event.

In short: My favourite race
In full: As usual this race was excellent. I now have 5 horse brasses and will be back next year for another one. Excellent family day out with kids entertainment and races. An ideal picnic opportunity. I can also recommend the sports massages (and the cakes!)

In short: Enjoyable race with lovely scenery and wildlife!
In full: I really enjoyed the race today. The scenery was lovely! Particularly enjoyed running alongside wild horses (although not sure they liked it that much though!) The marshals were great, plenty of them, really helpful, encouraging and friendly. Makes such a difference so a big THANK YOU to them! I will most definitely be running this race again and will be recommending it to others!

In short: Now I understand why so many people speak so highly about this race!
In full: Great scenery, the marshalls really were very friendly & helpful (refilling my water bottle at each water station), the cloud cover and breeze made the conditions great.

In short: I've now done it four times, and I'll be back
In full: I love this race. Great scenery, friendly marshals, cheery atmosphere (definitely one for beginners) and - happily - no need to get up at the crack of dawn to get there. I now have four horse brasses, and will hopefully be back to collect many more. My one small suggestion for improvement - tell the commentator to stop moaning about everything! Every year he complains about people not cheering enough, people getting too close to the tape aroud the course and so on, and this year had even more to moan about because he'd had a tyre blowout. Fair play, he's come a long way to do the job, but I heard a lot of supporters say he was doing their head in (my wife among them). Cheer up buddy - it's summer and you're in the beautiful new forest!

In short: Very well organised, off road race.
In full: A bit cooler this year, which made for a more enjoyable race. The Marshalls were,as usual, excellent and very encouraging. There were also more toilets, which had always been a problem in previous years. This was my 20th entry and I hope to run many more.
