In short: Well organised and marshalled In full: Good marathon training and very well organised. It was worth the second lap just to delve into the jelly baby bucket again.
Killer hill at the end of 14 and 20 miles though! Date of review: March 17, 2008

In short: Good FLM prep In full: This was my first race of this length in my prep for my first FLM. I'd definitely do the race again in training for the FLM. Very scenic run and thought the drivers were very patient. It felt quite lonely in places if towards the back and was particulary depressing in the cold/rain/wind. Would have liked to have had some sort of goodie bag at the end as have done at other races. Date of review: March 17, 2008

In short: Cracking event... apart from the rain! In full: First time I've run this and will definitely be back. Good value for money, great warm up for London although also a good race in its own right... Date of review: March 17, 2008

In short: well done the marshals ..... In full: Great race - excellent value - good facilities but especially good marshals on a very wet & cold day. Date of review: March 17, 2008

In short: Could have had signs directing cars just before Cranleigh town center. Numerous cars went the wrong way. In full: Don't make people pay for food at the end. Put it in the price of entry. I didn't have money at the end and with cold rainy weather conditions didn't have the energy to walk to the car and back. Date of review: March 17, 2008

In short: Well marshalled, but poor toilet facilities near start or on route In full: My furthest race after running many half marathons (big and small). I was quite surprised that there were no toilet facilities on the route. Given the route is made of 3 laps, it would have been great to have a couple of portaloos to save runners (of both genders) using the bushes outside the village. Date of review: March 16, 2008

In short: Thanks marshalls, organisers and supporters In full: I like this undulating course and the hill a mile from the end is a real challenge which makes it all the more rewarding when you beat it. Didn't really notice the rain or wind and neither did it dampen the spirits of the many supporters along the way. Date of review: March 16, 2008

In short: Superb organisation. Great race. Thank you! In full: I can't say more than all the other reviews about the great marshalls, signage, accurate, visible mile markers, loos and a remarkable selection of supermarkets for high speed snacking at the finish.
I just hope all the marshalls and organisers get to see all the reviews! Date of review: March 16, 2008
