In short: The Hills! The Hills!
In full: Ofcourse I'm biased as this is my local race but it is in a league of it's own. Simular to Snowdonia, more hills just not so big and with a testing "Wall" or two in the last stages. Once again lucky with the weather. Getting very popular. Roll on 2007.

In short: Simply put; the best race on the calendar - of any distance:)
In full: Organisation was flawless, marshals never got bored and were on the ball every time. Drink / food stations were well stocked with a choice of water, juice and jellybabies. Support even on the exposed moor was fantastic.

If you are up to 26.2 miles with hills, there is no reason why you wouldn't want to do this run.

Fantastic, I'll be back again for sure:)))

In short: Lovely Race
In full: Stunning scenery, brilliant marshalling (especially the kid with the Jaffa Cakes - genius!), lots of Cornish hospitality and of course the pasties... It's hilly enough to keep it interesting with most of the tough climbs in the 1st half and plenty to take your mind off the pain!

In short: Fantastic views, friendly marshals, excellent organisation.
In full: It's a tough course but the marshals were so friendly and encouraging that they kept me going. The views are stunning: the route passes through lanes, wooded valleys, moorland, villages and goes up and down virtually all the way (well, that's what it felt like anyway). Water stations every three miles, with runners' own drinks if provided, staffed by cheerful Guides. Medal placed round my neck by very small child. Banana, pasty and cup of tea. About as good as it gets.

In short: Bit more than undualting, spectacular scenery, worth the trip.
In full: A very different marathon. Not one for a PB unless you are a fellrunner. Well organised, with excellent marshalls. Will certainly be back next year, especially if the wether is as good as it was this time so you can admire the views.

In short: Hill after hill but the scenery was glorious. Worth the 560 miles round trip.
In full: First visit to Cornwall - I knew the county had the odd hill, but it seemed that they were all crammed into this course! However, this event is very special, the barren beauty of Bodmin Moor, the expert organisation, the enthusiasm of the marshalls and the yelling out of my club name made me feel welcomed and helped to push me to greater efforts, despite the remote location there was good support around the route by the locals, the pastie and hot drink at the end brought me back to life at the end and a medal too make this a generous and good valued event.

I was say that this race is on par with Snowdonia Marathon in terms of difficulty although the weather was perfect for runners today.

Thanks to all involved and I'll be back in 2007.

In short: Fantastic , but hard
In full: Most runners I spoke had already run the race a number of times which says a lot about the race. The atmosphere was great but the route will punish those who go out to quick as it is very demanding. The Chalk messages on the roads like on the tour de france was a nice touch. Thanks to the organisers on this one, even though there was a slight mix up on the start times. Great race had a real laugh on the way round and managed to beat the monkey!
