In short: why was a woman with a push chair crossing the road near the finish?????
In full: My home town, so a must for me however I really wonder what people must think the route is so dull.

In short: it was hilly - not bad, but hilly!
In full: Not very scenic in comparison to other city halfs I have done, but ok for a smallish half. Really liked being texted my chip time just 30 minutes after the race!! Please more drinks at the finish line... just a bottle of one sport drink would have gone down very nicely...

In short: Hills? What hills....
In full: Nice race. The hills were nowhere near as bad as some have suggested on here. Easy last 5 or 6 miles and a good finish with great support.

In short: 3rd time for me and let down by a couple of issues
In full: This is the 3rd time i have done this great race and have got faster every year. Did particularly well today knocking 5 mins off my time from Sheffield just 2 weeks ago. Once you have done the course a few times and know where those hills are as long as you save some energy in the bag for 7 miles on it is pretty much all down hill and flat. The course is well marshalled and has good water stations. As other people have put the course does get a bit narrow in parts running along side main raods. Also this year there was a lack of drinks at the finish and I had issues with my timing chip which is why i have not rated it as high as previous years.

In short: Could be better, could be worse.
In full: A bit like my performance yesterday, some positives and some negatives pretty much cancel each other out. My main beef is that the course around the ring road and Kirkstall Road is just way too narrow, OK it's a main road, but it's really off putting to have cars speeding past when you've basically got two people's widths to run in. Throw in to that the last two drinks stations with all the mess strewn on the road and it's positively dangerous (in my opinion). Goody bag of a decent Tshirt, nice medal, Starburst and some jelly bean sweeties was OK. Cadets filling cups of water from a bin at the finish was, I hope a plan B, but I suspect not. Someone mentioned getting their time texted to them, I've had nothing, nothing online either. But then again it's Leeds council, they can't even arrange to empty our bins. All in all, OK, course a little more challenging than most but could do with better organising.

In short: Nice race, hills aren't as bad as everyone makes out although it's a little quiet in parts of the course
In full: Really well organised I thought, although the route of the course means it's always going to be a little quiet (crowd-wise) in large sections as it heads round the outer ring road.
Quite pleased with my PB and the hills aren't as bad as everyone makes out, plus the second half is essentially all downhill!

In short: where's the online times!
In full: my 1st half and the first time I've done the distance so its a special one for me as I was also in pink running and fundraising for my neice to have an op in USA.shameless plug-annabellerosetrust.org miles 7-9 flew after the hills but was I the only one aching at the uphill final 'point one of a mile' . Still Annabelle and my own wife and daughter made for an unforgettable emotional finish that will prob not be repeated
