In short: Challenging 3 lap course set in Blenheim Palace grounds, on a warm day. Marshalls and people manning the drink stations were very supportive. The 2pm start and the warm sunshine added to the challenging nature of the course.

In short: A very good race and a Saturday afternoon too.
In full: This is a race I have not missed since moving to Oxford in 1987. I like the fact that it is a Saturday race which really makes for a relaxing Sunday. You will need it though as the course is surprisingly tough especially if like this year it is very warm.

In short: Hilly and hot, but the senic route more than made up for it. A very enjoyable race.

In short: A challenging but very enjoyable run
In full: Very well organised and friendly. If you are used to running on the flat and want something a bit more challenging then give this a try in 2010.

In short: Hot and Hilly
In full: A challanging 3 lap course through Blenheim Palace grounds. A tad more undulating than I thought and a nice warm day meant that it felt really hard going, certainly saw some people drop out.
Organisation was ok, ran out of water on 3rd lap and cups on half full. Glad I had a gel at the bottom of my bag to get in some sugar afterwards.
Saw some other runners litter which I thought was really annoying after all the effort people go in to arrange the event.
I must take my hat off to Mr Motivator marshall on the bridge, he did make me smile on each lap and was very vocal with is encouragement.
No idea what my time was thought it might be on the website, maybe will get it emailed who knows.
Will do again next year, will be a really nice event to take friends or family so the can enjoy a picnic in the grounds and get to cheer you on three times, or laugh as you look more in pain each lap

In short: Tough 12 miler that starts at 2pm
In full: Why start at 2pm? Very hot this year and a tough hilly course. Ran out of water at the final table on the 3rd lap. The most annoying aspect of this race is competing for road space with non-runners including the stupid little dog (on a lead) that ran in front of me - as well as buses, cars, wheelchairs, buggies, and walkers. I'd still do it again though if I want a tough race in beautiful surroundings

In short: Tough 12 miler - totally exhausted runners need a mars bar at the end of the race. Goody bag was just polythene bag and water. Charge a pound more and give us something to restore energy please
