In short: Very good race - highly recommended
In full: Good course with a few hills for interest (!); friendly & encouraging marshalls; good facilities (e.g. bag storage, water/energy drinks stations; wet sponges - great idea!). Car parking could be tricky - I was lucky to be dropped off, but did see quite a long queue. Hope this race is on again next year as I would definitely do it again.

In short: Hilly and quite windy, especially the first half. Well marshalled and organized, a great run as always. un

In short: An extremely well organised event with a pleasantly challenging course.
In full: This half marathon offers an interesting course that will keep most runners interested on the way round. A few inclines combined with flat, open stretches and sections through a few villages mean you do not get bored on the way round.

From the extremely comprehensive pre-race instructions, which did mention the alternative car parks in case of rain, the race programme on the day, friendly marshals, excellent traffic control and well staffed water points mean that this race is well worth a go.

Well done to all involved at Ackworth RR.

In short: A very enjoyable race, with very friendly marshals!
In full: A bit of an issue with the car-park due to the wet weather, but the race itself was great. A couple of decent hills thrown in, and we ALWAYS seemed to be running into the wind, so PB options not great, but a very enjoyable race. Thanks to all involved with this, and I do hope this event runs again in 09.

In short: Excellent, well organised race with supportive marshalls and nice refreshments at the end. Hillier than expected, but well worth it.

In short: Well done!!
In full: Great race, organisation before, during and after was excellent. PB potential for sure!! I dont think I have ever seen so many friendly people helping and the drinks tables were very long meaning you sturggled to miss out!!

The programme was a great touch too.

One very, very minor gripe. Any chance of showers in the future?

See you next year!!

In short: Very enjoyable, and friendly
In full: I am one of the slower runners, and the poeple inveoled in this race are a very nice set of, one almost feels, 'mates'
The runners are jovial (in the main) and the marshalls couldn't be more helpful and friendly.
Really recommend Ackworth to all, but don't all join in, might get a bit crouded lol.
