In short: Simply the best ever half marathon. It has everything for everyone and the quality mug as a finisher prize makes a nice change from a medal or a t-shirt.

In short: Very good.
In full: An excellent race. Very basic, small event (which I like - if you want busy, nip down the road to Reading) but good, flat course, with rural scenery and not much hanging around. Regarding beginner friendliness, yes this is clubby (judging by the amount of club vests), but don't let that put you off. Friendly marshals and water stations people (mainly scouts) and a nice mug instead of a medal. No chip timing, but at £12, who's complaining. Book early though as this sells out very quickly.

In short: Well-organised race in the countryside
In full: Nice course on quiet country roads, with good marshals and lots of encouragement from the locals and at the drinks stations. Liked the mug rather than a medal.

In short: Lovely countryside, perfect weather, clockwork organization. Perfect race!
In full: First time I've done this race, and I'll definitely be back. Flat, scenic route along quiet country lanes. The excellent organizers even managed to lay on perfect weather. Particular thanks to the many excellent marshalls and the enthusiastic helpers at the water stations.

In short: Loved this race, fantastic organisation, loads of marshals and water stations, definitely scope for a PB if it had been a little cooler

In short: Very well organised, lovely setting, fast and flat
In full: This was my first half and I was pretty slow, but really happy to have finished. The communication from Dene has been excellent - keeping in touch for a few months beforehand, and race pack sent out at Christmas. I liked the mug and although I like medals, this is something I will use and it will remind me of the run. Also the t-shirts are great, low priced and everyone's name in a list on the back - unique! Will definitely do again next year - need to get some new trainers before then though, and a bit more training!

In short: Excellent
In full: Many thanks to the photographer capturing me looking like death! Too hot for me and outside my PB but I'll definitely race again. I liked the mug over a medal and t-shirts were very reasonably priced. Many thanks to the villagers and chaffinches (it was rural) for their support. Great marshals. A really good low-numbered run and a great change from a city half. Thanks to all involved. Excellent.
