In short: Hilly, hard, great views, well marshalled, well organised and fun
In full: A great race which does what it says on the tin - hard unless you've trained well. The course is interesting, with great views. The marshals were superb and massively encouraging. The race HQ, although crowded, was great with a massive fayre of food laid out. The free sports massage was a god send. Will definately run this one again, assuming I've forgotten the pain of those hills by next year!

In short: Great Race. Thank you Hogweed Trotters
In full: I really enjoyed this race. It was well organised by a really friendly running club. The route did exactly what it promised in that was challenging and hilly. The views were spectacular and the marshalls friendly and encouraging, I even saw two dogs at one point wearing hi-vis marshalls jackets (or was I hallucinating by this point). Despite the course I got my second best half marathon time and only my second sub 2 hour finish. The hill training must be paying off. Thank you Hogweed Trotters and all the marshalls, time keepers, first aiders and other officals who gave up their Sunday mornings to make this a special event. I will be back.

In short: Very slick organisation and a great course.
In full: Thanks to the marshals and supporters for encouraging me to a half marathon PB on what can only be described as a fantastic race. Great weather added to the event and i will be back next year.

In short: Great event, very well organised
In full: "Significant climbs at miles 1, 5, 8 and 12" - the rest is just up and down! Testing course, great organisation by Hogweed Trotters and shows that there is more to half marathons than big city centre races.

In short: The best half marathon bar none - organisation, marshalling, food, and the course itself are all perfect.
In full: Words just can't describe how good this race is. Everything about the event is bang on the money. They really do not come any better than this and if you have only one half marathon that you can do then you have to make it this one - a real credit to the organisers. The free shoe bag calls it a classic race - sums it up!! Well done Hogweed Trotters.

In short: Surprisingly wonderful
In full: The RW Marathon training schedule for sub-3 hours suggested that I find a half marathon and complete in under 1h 23m. Only one runner - the winner - managed that in the Hogweed, which shows what a tough race it was. Never mind that - what a joy! We were blessed with a glorious spring day, and a really beautiful course, with some killer hills, but fabulous scenery. Organisation was fantastic, marshalling superb, and despite it being about my third worst half marathon time (out of more than 100 races) I'd run this again for sure.

In short: The best organised half marathon in the UK, bar none
In full: The organisationwas faultless; themarshalls and volunteers friendly and most supportive; the scenery is glorious and despite the hilly bits I still managed to take 10 minutes 46 second off my 1/ marathon PB, thanks to the inspiration provided by Hogweed Hilly Half Heaven. Can't wait to do it again next year!
