In short: Really well organised race & the sun was out for a change In full: Well organised race, beautiful scenery, many many hills what more could you want! Not sure I would do it again which has more to do with all the hills than anything else - theyre just not for me! For the more experienced runner this would be an amazing run, for me I think I will stick to the flatter routes at least until im a bit stronger on hills. Date of review: March 20, 2011
In full: Great race, Credit to the club and the organisers. The race has a really local feel and is one of the best races in the area. It is much better value and enjoyable than any of the larger 'halfs': Ample parking at HQ, mile markers are 99% accurate, frequent water stations, medal, t-shirt and free banannas at the finish!
It is a challenging course due to the many climbs but there amazing views as a reward. Nice to run on tarmac but was begining to challenge the knees a bit in the last couple of miles. Good mix of ages and abilities taking part.
Only downside was that I was 9 mins slower than last year... watch out next year! Date of review: March 20, 2011
In short: best value for money In full: £14 entry made £9 with the £5 voucher that I used at sweatshop on way home, great tshirt, medal goody bag, good priced food and tasty, and free massage. ok there are some hills, but worth it for the views!! Date of review: March 20, 2011
