In short: Lovely run along Bournemouth sea-front - nice and flat and you can see the finish at 9 miles!
In full: My first half-marathon was in my home town of Bournemouth. After training almost exclusively on the sea-front, it was great to race along here. The only hill of any note is in the first mile, whilst you are still in the pack and are not motoring anyway.

Lots of nice friendly marshalls, good organisation at start/finish, drinks available at all stations. T-shirt and medal for everyone.

Plenty of other events on the same day 1k/5k/10k, and given good weather, you could always sit on the beach whilst your other half goes round. The town is also close by too, so its a great event for the spectators too.

In short: Course is reasonably fast, weather was not too bad this year. Only problem for me was the very inconsitent mile markers!
In full: Summary says it all really. Had mile times varying between 5.30 and 7.30 sometimes one after the other!

In short: Nice scenic race. No real hills to speak of. Nice running alongside the coast
In full: Overall, the race is organised to a good level on a course that is not too challenging. Nice marshalling to top off a fine race.
