In full: This should be renamed the east coast marathon as after 12 mins of running you are ushered right out of Edinburgh with the lovely view of cockenzie power station to keep you company for the remainder of the race no loosing your bearings here. Once again the organisers failed to take into account the predicted weather conditions too few water stations remember 3 miles is the regulated maximum distance apart oh and where were the cool down showers on the route. This has big potential so start listning to the feed back, or this will end up a fancy dress fun run. The locals were great to cheer on but you just did not get the feeling you were running a city marathon. This is classed as the fastest marathon course yet no records Have been broken here. All in all a very average Marathon. Date of review: June 4, 2010

In short: Have done this marathon for the past 2 years-seen a great improvement in the organisation this year.Return buses too far away from finish.Would be good to have the Marathon event on it's own-no relay or half to steal limelight. Date of review: June 2, 2010

In short: I don't want to run a marathon and then have to walk another one to get a shuttle bus back to the city. In full: Need to consider reversing this course so it finishes in Edinburgh. I won't be back for this one. Date of review: June 1, 2010

In short: Poor organisation at end of race spoilt the day for me. In full: poor signposting, a dangerous crush to get in and out of the reunion area, lack of good photos, too far to the buses and too long to get back in to Edinburgh spoilt what could have been a fab day. Local support was good in places, but not much over the course as a whole. Difficult for family to see more than one part of the race. Date of review: June 1, 2010

In short: Great race PB In full: I thought the race this year was superb despite the late start, should have been 9.30am.The finish is always going to be difficult to organise but come on the walk to the baggage trucks was really not that far.My one suggestion would be to make the Lothian buses back into town free for those wearing a medal. This would have really speeded up the process of boarding the buses as runners scrambled about trying to find change. It would be a great gesture from Lothian and would not cost them as a fortune particularly as they benefit from so many extra bus users over the whole weekend. With free boarding and a few extra buses the logistical problem of getting back into the centre would be solved. Absolutely loved the day and great to have a grandstand finish! Date of review: June 1, 2010

The last two years that I have done it have been scorching. A great race made all the better by the fantastic people of Edinburgh and their superb support. Date of review: June 1, 2010
