In short: A major event for ordinary runners (like me). In full: This is not to be taken on lightly. The first 45 miles can be achieved before darkness and you get to stop and have a meal, which was great. The next 40 miles is 'night navigation' with headtorch, until dawn fully breaks and then you just keep going until the village of Avebury, which was a delight to get to. It was a very long way and it was tough going, especially at night and into the early hours. Organisation and check-point support was fantastic and they all deserve a great deal of credit. This is the hardest event I have ever done and has given me an extraordinary experience. Date of review: August 29, 2006
