In short: Lovely scenic route In full: Very well organised race and a lovely route. Nearly all the race is out in the countryside yet there is great support from marshalls and public throughout. Highly recommended!
One warning - the car parks get very busy on race day so arrive with plenty of time. Date of review: October 28, 2015
In short: Excellent, scenic race incorporating parts of Clumber Park. In full: Excellent, scenic race incorporating parts of Clumber Park. The hills in the first few miles are manageable and the last mile downhill was a bonus. The comedy sponge station signs at 8/9 miles were a great distraction and the marshals were excellent throughout. Always a great technical T shirt and this year had the bonus of a medal too. Best of all a PB!! Date of review: October 27, 2015
In short: Great event. In full: a fantastic event and worth the 2 hour trip from Liverpool. Went there hoping for a PB and my first sub 1:30 but not overly hopeful due to reports of it being undulating - which it was but nothing too bad. Achieved both my aims finishing in 1:38:25 knocking over 5 minutes off my PB so it's obviously a course with PB potential. I don't do many races twice but would definitely consider doing this again. The Kirkby Milers travelled home in good spirits after a fantastic day out and race. Date of review: October 27, 2015
In short: Its a good friendly run and it pushes you to do well In full: I didn't think this would be a good run for me but the weather was great and the hills are very undulating to say the least and I was gob smacked I managed to do a PB which I was well impressed with along side some other members of our club. The other good thing is you get a proper race t shirt and the medal was good as I couldn't remember getting on last year as I knocked 7 mins off my time Date of review: October 27, 2015
In short: 2000 Runners, Perfect Organisation, Great Atmosphere In full: A great day! ... Everything was spot on, great course, well organised and fantastic support all the way round. Date of review: October 27, 2015
In short: Only my 2nd half marathon, but can see this becoming a favourite In full: Having trained for the Robin Hood Half I decided to sign up for Worksop as it followed a month later. I was a little apprehensive as I'd heard it was quite hilly. It was certainly a challenge, but the views, atmosphere and organisation made it a great experience and despite the hills I knocked 2 minutes off my previous time. As Arnie famously said "I'll be back!" Date of review: October 27, 2015
