In short: Excellent PB Potential course.
In full: The organisation was good, but it was a shame that people didn't use the predicted finish times at the start as I found myself held up by lots of people walking in front of me. My mum and sister also did this race who are beginners and this was a brilliant one for them.

In short: Great organisation and a good, flat, route.
In full: This was my first 10K and I was a bit worried after reading some of the negative comments left in previous years. However, I had a brilliant time and have nothing negative to say at all. The start and finish worked well, there was water available at the 5K turning point, super fast runners and total beginners existed together peacefully with very clear starting signage and K markers. People cheered each other on, some ran, some ran slower, some people walked now and again and some people walked most of the way. I feel that this was a great race that would boost beginners and the elite alike, and I did my best consistent mile time ever!

In short: Good all-rounder
In full: A great confidence booster for slower runners - I got a pb! On the whole, well organised and no problems with congestion - start and finish point was fine. Great to have a race for which there is easy/free parking. Entry cost is a bit steep, but don't mind if profits go to Help the Aged. Nice T-shirt, and pleased to see that they hadn't run out of small ones, which often happens by the time slower runners get to the finish.

In short: Get a PB and get out.
In full: This is a fast course which must be the only reason for the excellent turnout every year. the start and turnaround are improved but this is a pretty depressing run.

I knocked over a minute off my PB but it would be a run I'd be glad to miss in the future.

In short: Improved Start and Turn around
In full: Organisation was top notch, including timed pens to keep the walking fundraisers from clogging up the runners. However, Kirkstall Road is not the most scenic in Leeds and although the start is good at the town hall, and the half way point good at the Abbey, the rest leaves a lot to be desired! But if you want a PB course, then then don't get much better than this.

In short: Fast course, dull scenery
In full: Smooth start, fast course but not much to look at scenery wise (didn't see much of the Abbey!).Free parking in Leeds a bonus.
