In short: Some marathons are not to be raced.........
In full: With no signs, but a 4 page route direction map, this is one marathon (and two shorter distances) that you have to find yourself. So frequent slowing down, getting wrong turns are to be expected & me for one enjoyed the experience.
Great marshals, ample food stops, barbie at the end & a medal - all for a fair price; what more could you ask for?
I travelled up from the South Coast to run this one & I will be back. Nice to find some flatter countryside than Sussex!!

In short: Everyone very good humoured and supportive throughout
In full: A great day, warm but not too sunny. 95% off road - maybe less, so very entertaining. Shame I bombed - but back next time! Apparently this is done in the winter as well?

In short: Great atmosphere
In full: From the time we arrived and were offered tea/coffee and biscuits to the time we left when we were served BBQ and everything inbetween it was obvious that this event was well thought out and the runners were very well looked after. Despite getting lost and running nearer 31 miles than 26.2 miles I enjoyed every minute of it and really liked the challenge of a complete self-navigated race. There was a very friendly atmosphere and although it was wet at times everyone seemed to be running with a smile. This is an event I would like to do again.

In short: Great off-road challenge with friendly marshalls and runners.
In full: Thanks FVS - another fantastic challenge. Some hills (one very muddy), written instructions and a couple of torrential downpours just added to the fun. Marshalls at feeding stations were great - the temptation was to linger too long! Tough but enjoyable - looking forward to next year.
