In short: Fantastic weather, friendly locals - shame about traffic blocking runners paths!

In short: Bit hot and hilly but worth it!
In full: Would've liked an earlier start - this was the 2nd year I've done it and once again it was too hot. Great crowd support, thanks to the lady with the hose and to everyone clapping and ringing bells. The only pain was one area with 2 way traffic - had to run single file on the verge. Overall the atmosphere was fab and even though I didn't know any of the other runners I was not at all lonely!

In short: a well organised run through great scenery
In full: Good parking, lots of loos and clean showering facilities. Plentiful water and sponge stations which were welcome given the heat, as were the locals with hoses and jelly babies. There were a few hills but nothing too challenging and the scenery more than made up for them.
Many thanks to the marshals who did a sterling job.
The only draw back was the stretch of road that we had to share with two-way traffic. I was forced to walk here because there was very little room at the side of the road.
The hog roast at the end was a nice touch, pity I didn't feel able to take advantage of it.

In short: This was my first half Marathon and I thoroughly enjoyed it (well except for the hills and the heat). I will definitely do it again next year!

In short: Hot and hilly but beautiful surroundings
In full: Extremely well organised race with great support. Lovely to run in such a beautiful part of the world. Hills weren't fun but not as bad as I had imagined.

In short: Lovely Scenery, some challenging 'undulations'!
In full: Well run, excellent marshalling, nice country route. Well worth a go. Probably not a PB race though. (Despite me beating mine!!)

In short: A 9.00 start would be preferable to the hot 11.00. Bolder mile markers please. A couple more water stations. Well organised and spectator support great. Pity the roads can't be closed.
