In short: WOW!!
In full: I'm still on a high. My 23rd marathon, yet the most memorable and beautiful one I've ever done. I agree with Bob the Builder - who needs the FLM and the like when you could be running Snowdonia? When can I enter for next year?!?
Huge thanks to the organisers and helpers and locals for their support.

In short: Excellenf fun in the hills!
In full: Thought this was a very well organised event. Then again I would say that as I come from Wales! All the locals came out to support. Water/aid stations well looked after. Excellent work from the police/cadets/national trust and the team. Mildly challenging hills with twists and turns, I'd heard a lot about mile 22 and yes it is a difficult one. Overall this event is very friendly, 'finisher slate' very different. Worth the money. Enjoyed it a lot. Who needs London and all the larger races, come to snowdon!! Top marks from me.

In short: second, 20 minutes off last year - learnt what cramp can do to your last 6 miles!
In full: OK so I hadn't trained as much as I should have in the right areas and my lifestyle/diet for the 3 weeks before was more like a first year university student than a 45 year old bloke, but hell it was good getting over the line 20 minutes faster than last year! And yes, I'm going to beat it again next year and continually until I can get below 3:30 and then I want to do the Beachy, Snowdownia and Dublin Triple. What do you mean you refuse to give me medical insurance??

In short: Not as bad as you expect in some places and worse in others!
In full: We had beautiful weather this year and fabulous views. The climb up the first pass was not as tough as I had prepared for mentally. The back straight between 14 and 21 miles took it out of me but I think that was largely down to the distance. Then it was "that big hill" for which I doubt there's any preparation. Just about everyone walked up a large part of it, but everyone seemed to be in good spirit. You can see the finish from the top! All you have to do is scamper, climb or slide down to it. Water stations were frequent and supportive marshalls were there at the right places. Tough - yes, impossible - no. Great fun in a strange sort of way.

In short: Toughest marathon in Europe? You bet baby!!!!
In full: Last did this in '96, ten years older and three stone heavier, it wasn't any easier.
Injury-induced lack of training made for a poor time, but it's "The One You've Got To Do". Forget London and Cardiff, urban marathons can't touch this jewel-in-the-crown of British running. Suprisingly glorious weather, outstanding scenery, superb organisation, supporters almost all the way round, and the toughest last five miles you will ever experience. Two miles from the finish,at the top of a suicidal downhill stretch, you can hear the loudspeaker at the finish in LLanberis as others cross the line, great for morale - not.
