In short: A good scenic race but with a long slog home
In full:
Lovely sunshine and strong sea winds. This was the first time I had run this race and the view running down to the Bill was really uplifting. However, the 2.5 mile, uphill battle from the Bill to the finish line was tougher than I expected. The race was well organized with plenty of water stations (some were giving out sponges). All runners received a nice embroidered towel at the finish line.

In short: A challenging and scenic race with a good spread of abilities.
In full: I have visited Portland all my life due to family living there, but have never tired of the beautiful vistas. This year presented with glorious sunshine, but strong sea winds which you were, at times, running into whilst going uphill. However, the comraderie was great, and I was really pleased with my time as I came in quicker than I anticipated despite the hills and the wind. Some angel was handing out jelly babies around mile 8 by the Bill, and I received a fab embroidered towel for my trouble. Can't wait for next year!

In full: Well marshalled and plenty of water stations and jelly babies at Portland Bill lighthouse. At least it stayed dry although a little breezy. Nice blue towel on completion of race

In short: Another good race but challenging in the conditions - again!
In full: Well organised and very friendly race. Nice memento this year - a towel! very useful. Windy conditions made a challenging hilly course even harder. Loads of prizes but still a quick presentation. Well done!!

In short: Us runners were very well looked after with lots of marshals, plentiful drink stations with sponges, free on-site parking, and refreshments & showers afterwards.
