In short: Great organisation, great course.
In full: The organisation of the race was excellent from start to finsih yet it still had that friendly, smallish club feel to it. I found the course to be very attractive especially the start and finish in the town centre area, the Westwood with its freely roaming cattle and the golf course. Although warned of the long drag after about a mile and a half I didn't think that this was much of a problem although I managed to run the second three miles two and a half minutes quicker than the first three. With the large number of runners taking part, from where I started in the narrow street it took 13 seconds to get over the line and the first mile was slow because it was so difficult to get past slower runners. Although I would never consider myself to be a speedster I would definitely start nearer the front next time. The perfect weather on the day helped to make this a great race and one which I would certainly do again and recommend to my friends.

In short: Have done this race several times, the course is excellent and only 15mins drive from my house
In full: This race is always full before the closing day for entries and you can see why. Lovely course starting from underneath Beverley Minister, round the narrow streets of Beverley and out through the Beverley Bar (no not a public house!). Road then heads for the open pasture of the Beverley Westwoods and past the Burgess's ice-cream van (no stopping now for a 99!!). As you you run along you wll see cattle happily grazing on the green pasture (or as today, cattle running alongside the runners!). The undulating road winds down to the outskirts of Walkington village were you turn left and head back towards Beverley. The finish comes up quickly as you thread your way past through saturday and then wednesday markets.

Great race, well organised as usual and a good day out. Bit colder this year but nice all the same. Don't forget, get your entries in early for next year or you will miss out!

In short: Excellent event
In full: Couldn't fault it, extremely well organised and deserves all the praise it gets. Not a flat course but all the better for it, and very scenic. Worth travelling for.

In short: Again a well organised race with encouraging marshals.
In full: Scenery definitely picnic potential. In fact on a warmer day I am sure we would have seen picnicers on Beverley Westwood.

I have been to a few races where the marshals are encouraging and this was up with them.

A definite for next year.

In short: No major problems with organisation, great route, good crowd support, organised marshalling
In full: Like last year a great race but the cooler conditions made it more bearable. Set a new PW but was the first 10k I've ever run with a groin strain. Last years reward was a woolly hat in anticipation of the cooler conditions this year, soo... the sunglasses must mean were in for a scorcha in 2006. See you all there!
