In short: Thoroughly enjoyed this race once again
In full: Once again a great day out. The large number of Forumites made a difference of course. Abingdon Amblers have a top event here and their organisation and friendly marshalls are an example to us all.

Where do I sign up for next year?

In short: 1st marathon, made it round without walking! Yes it is a long way!
In full: Some great scenery, some not so good, some I really can't remember!!! Friendly crowd and very good support all round the course (huge thanks to all the marshals).

Enjoyed meeting other forumites and felt really good at the end - even after getting stuck in the mudbath car park at the end!!!

In short: Enjoyed meeting all the forumites and the pesto gel was a definite must :o)
In full: There was a great camaraderie (sp?) amongst the 9 minute milers. RichK logged the mile splits with unerring accuracy. The course was almost flat and the weather was spot on. Great stuff. If I get my head around the idea of doing a marathon again, this would be top of my list in the UK

In short: For a first time marathon run I was definitely encouraged to do it again.A marshall at about mile 22 shouted to me*you can do it,I can see it in your eyes".Whether he did or not these words kept going round my head like a mantra.See you next year.

In short: Jelly babies, tea ready and great marshalls
In full: First time marathon so was unsure pre-race. However atmosphere was great, all the runners had a friendly diposition, the route was enjoyable and the marshalls encouraged you all the way. Total respect to the guy handing out large cups of tea at the finish. Just what was needed! Will be back for more again and again
