In short: Wet & Very Muddy!!!
In full: This was my first XC run, and boy did i enjoy it. The torrential rain we'd had just a couple of hours before the race made it interesting to say the least. The last steep drag after having gone through 3 steams was very challenging, and the wind didn't help! This is real down to earth cross country running. Loking forward to next year.

In short: A Proper XC Race
In full: An excellent race again. Why anyone wants to spend a fortune on these quasi corporate XC races when Tadley Runners put on such a great race is beyond me. It was challenging this year after all the rain, very soft underfoot and the ditches were full to the brim with water; the last climb from the ditches was tough this year into the wind. Warm soup and a momento all for the great price of £8.00.

In short: Traditional, old fashioned cross country at its very best
In full: Second time now that I have run this, and as before it was outstandingly enjoyable - wet, muddy, tough going with a sting in the tail involving an uphill drag of an approach to the finishing stretch. Ouch. Fantastic marshalls, and friendly runners. Thanks to all at Tadley Runners. I'll be back.

In short: Loadsa mud! This is a really good XC race.
In full: I arrived late and didn't have time to take off my trackie bottoms & they absorbed so much water they weighed half a ton at the end, but that's my fault. Still great fun!

In short: Excellent XC with improved route for 2008
In full: Reversing the route helped tremondously this year with no queues at the ditch crossings. It's a proper cross-country that has everything. I enjoyed the previous 2 years but found this years event exceptional.

In short: My 1st XC !
In full: I really enjoyed this race, the weather was glorious and it was very well organised. Didnt enjoy the last long hill at the end nor the ditches but it was worth it! I'm definitely going to make sure its my last race of the year !
