In short: Well organised, value for money race
In full: This half marathon takes in both town and country and the support is great. Yes there are hills but beats having a continuous flat race. The organisation was superb, medal brilliant, weather a bonus. I would definitely recommend this race to anyone who does half marathons. The last two miles you would think you were nearer the finish then you were the support was that good.

In short: Beautiful course, which is very helpful considering the hills- but it is always good to challenge yourself!
In full: I found everyone very helpful. I was one of the people that did not get a goodie bag but this was not an issue, the medal and great quality t-short was more than enough. There were lots of supporters lining alot of the route, far more than I expected. It was a great day!

In short: Always a good start to the running year
In full: I always enjoy this race, being my 6th time in the last 10 years.

One further comment on those goody bags. I was 1,814th to finish, and there was no bag available. The organisers say there were 2,200 bags made up. That's at least 386 taken by earlier finishers in addition to the first bag they took. How greedy is that?!

And to the reviewer who said just below that goody bags do not matter, it DOES when the only water available is in it! WE were gasping for water after over two hours out on that course on a warm day.

I am certain though that the organisers will rectify the situation next year. It is the selfish runners who grab everything in sight who should be ashamed.

In short: Great event
In full: I ran the Tunbridge Well half marathon for the first time this year but did not know what to expect. I was a bit worried that the race would be too technical and just for advanced runners. In short, it exceeded all my expectations. Very friendly organization, lots of volunteers who make the race very smooth, amazing scenery and great folks clapping all along. The hills are definitely tough but provide a great training half way through the London Marathon. I definitely recommend the race !

In short: Superb event
In full: My 4th time (I think!) and managed a Personal Worst due to injury that came back at mile 6. But no matter. Still a great day with lots to enjoy. WELL DONE TO THE ORGANISERS for text book organisation. See you all at the Weald10k 2 September - another great local run from my village just up the road!

In short: Great race!
In full: Very scenic course, though you probably won't run your PB here - pretty decent hills. Sure problems with goodie bags (who cares about these anyway) can be sorted next year. Medals ugly? Yes, but again, who cares. Long lines for the toilets? I think pretty unavoidable no matter how well you plan! Much more importantly, well staffed and organised aid stations and spectators / dogs / traffic kept in check. Overall, great race atmosphere in lovely surroundings. I'd do this one again!

In short: always forget that hill
In full: Great run, well organised as usual. Reflecting back though, it could have only been me and the 1.40 pacer running as I just focussed on keeping up with him throughout the race, which I did. A big thanks to him, together with all the marshalls, spectators, drummers throughout the course. A perfect pre-marathon training race
