In full: Very enjoyable with lots of water stations and a pleasant setting. Only cold showers available which was irritating and er, cold. I saw one chap chicken out of the cold shower. It is a shame that no massage available.

In short: Big hill at the start but a nice run. Lots of sweets and fruit in the goody bag. Good organisation.

In short: Excellent event. Nice route and well organised.
In full: 2nd year running I've attended this event and will look to come back again next year. All aspects of this race were spot on. A big thanks to the organisers and those who helped run the event on the day.

In short: Good workout. Great value for money.
In full: I read previous reviews so was expecting the hill and trained accordingly. It was fairly challenging but since it's so early in the race where the field is still tightly packed you end up doing it at a slow and manageable pace behind all the people walking or crawling up. I actually found the steady incline at the end of the race more tough and I suspect the mile/km markings were a little misleading towards the end as the last three miles felt much longer (notwithstanding the incline on tired legs). Overall the race was very pleasant and well organised. The clouds were a blessing - had it been a sunny day we would have expired after only starting at 9:30am. If summer races started earlier we'd miss the heat, traffic enroute and tailbacks at peak time back to London! The goody bag was very generous. More loos at the start would have been a treat but with such good value for money I can't complain about anything.

In short: The goody bag at the end makes up for that hill at the start!
In full: Thought this was a well organised event - although would agree with suggestions about staggering the different race starts to avoid bottle necks. Marshalls and the locals that showed up to support the runners were great. Woohoo for the awesome goody bag!

In full: The begin of the race was slightly confusing, perhaps the 10K runners should start seperately, brilliant support around the course, really sorry to say this but the water stops were not the best, but thank you to the volunteers, even managed a PB, the marshalls were excellent.

In short: Did a sub 1:30 - yippee!
In full: Great race Handy Cross. Once you are past That Hill, it is mostly downhill to the last mile. No way would I have made a sub 1:30 if it wasn't for the coaching and encouragement I got from other runners. Great camaraderie which is want racing should be all about. Will I be back? Try stop me!
Oh yeah, just one criticism: make more toilets available for the women. My wife queued for 25 minutes and missed the start!

In short: Good race, one hill early on. I'll be back.
In full: Good race. One hill at the start plus the downhill at about 6 miles in. Otherwise a flat course. I would guess at about 2 or 3 mins slower than a flat course. Very good medal plus an average T-shirt. Good value. Good mashalling who had a difficult job with the traffic especially near Loudwater. I'd definately run again.
A couple of minor gripes: Need to get in some portaloos and not rely on insufficient on site bogs. Bag store (vans) was not organised and was just luck that the bags weren't stolen. Need to arrange some time zones at the start to avoid slower runners lining up at the front then walking on the hill and getting in people's way. Otherwise all extremely well organised.

In short: Excellent organisation, lots of encouraging spectators, great medal/goody bag/t-shirt
In full: Very challenging hill at the start so not great for a PB. Organisation was superb, I entered 15 mins before the start with no problems at all. Really nice medal and great day out for kids. Shame about the rain but otherwise a great run with extremely friendly and helpful marshalls. Thanks to everyone who helped organise it.
