In short: Wet and windy but good atmosphere, challenging hill for beginners
In full: Soaked to the skin and freezing cold to start but brightened up halfway round. Fantastic support from the marshalls, especially in the awful weather. The hill after half way scuppered me a bit as a beginner, as did the strong headwind approaching the stadium and round the track at the finish. Great goodie bag and sense of achievement on finishing.

In short: Great race - despite the rain
In full: Driving rain/hail and gale-force winds made for an absurd start, with a few hundred people huddled together facing sideways from the start line. But weather aside, nice route, heroic marshals (given the conditions) and a great goody bag.

In short: Lots of variety
In full: Overall a great race with residential and nice park areas but difficult overtaking on narrow footpaths and pavements, tricky running on soggy grass which can slow you down, long hill in the middle of the race wasn't pleasant but added to the challenge. Will definitely do again, achieved PB.

In short: Brilliantly organised race with great facilities
In full: First class organisation, great start & finish stadium venue, no worries about parking.
It's a slightly awkward course, lots of pavement work, road crossings, tight turns and a couple of slippery grass sections. The hill in the middle is no real problem though and a PB is not out of the question.
None of this detracts from the fact that this a very enjoyable race. Brilliant marshalling, great value, great goody bag, and I hope you deserve better weather next year!

In short: Fab race, shame about the weather!
In full: Driving rain at the start and windy on the finish lap of the track at the end. But the middle bit was great! rain stopped and was really pleasant morning for a run! As I'm still fairly new to racing I personally prefer a medal and t-shirt but the mug is good.
