In short: A brilliant and up-lifting event.
In full: Had a brilliant day, the crowd were great fun and motivating with plenty of sweets being given out. The hills were either very long or short and steep, but all in all not too bad. It was well organised but with a lack of toilets near the start. Thanks to the lady in the Marina Fountain pub for letting us use your loos and for a lovely pint of guiness at the end. No goody bag but a nice medal to commemorate the day. It was my first half and i achieved 2 hours 20 mins which i was extremely please with. A fabulous even and one i would highly recommend.

In short: overall a good run, the start was congested
In full: very friendly race, the hills were not too bad, 2 sharp hills at start. the start was congested, but soon evened out and plenty of room to run, ideal weather. the tea/coffee at finish was very welcome. The horse brass was better than the average medal you receive for a lot of races

In short: Lovely race, really enjoyed myself
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed the race, thanks to all the organisers/marshalls etc and what amazxing crowd support. Thank you to the residents of Hastings, particularly the lady with the bag of Refreshers!

But I do ache a bit today, but that is my fault due to not running much lately having bronchitus!

My only complaint is....give it up with the horse brasses guys, medal please :)

In short: Second time running this one & enjoyed it more,
In full: Very good race and support all the way round.I presume many people did not read their information pack as there were extra toilets and changing in the Sea Cadets Hall (guarded by guns outside) just 5 minutes from the start.

In full: Enjoyed this race, despite it being tough for the first half, the support is excellent all the way round. Only complaint would be that the end of the race is badly organised, I could not find where the water was & it's to busy at the end.

In short: Great atmosphere but not sure what they needed such a high entry fee for.
In full: Lots of fun and great vibes from the crowd and runners. But why no goody bag?

In short: nice run, good mix of up, down and flat
In full: I entered this race due to having read all the rave reviews. I would agree that the crowd were very supportive and the route was very good (if like me you like hill running)the park and ride facility was good. There are definately organisational changes that need happen. I could only find 2 toilets which was nowhere near enough for the amount of runners, I spent the race wondering if my bag would be safe due to no secure baggage storage, the finish area was cramped, I was lucky enough to get a goodie bag but the content was poor (a bottle of water and some tissues)I would suggest marking where the drinks stations were as hard to spot amoungst the crowds. To summarise please can there be more signs next year so that newcomers, like me, know where to find all the facilities mentioned above. Thank you to the marshalls and bus drivers.

In short: a great race for a negative split!
In full: having all the hills in the first half looks tough on paper, but makes great running for a negative split! Great race, well organised and good support all round. One suggestion - signposting that the drinks stations are coming up? As they were surrounded by the crowds I wasn't expecting them - nearly missed two. Or maybe I should buy some glasses to run in?

In short: The knees ooooo the knees!
In full: Second time of doing this race, 2 years apart, and beat my last by 5mins so am v chuffed. Found the hills positively offensive as only remembered the Queensway one so kept thinking I was in the clear when yet another hill loomed in front which did make me want to throw myself on the floor in a tantrum, however managed to stay vertical and then I threw myself along the final 5 miles to make up time and my knees are feeling v injured today as a result. That said, super race, a real sense of achievement, the best crowd support you can get and thank you for the orange slice and banana! Query - lack of loos at start/finish and didn't see any enroute unlike in 2008? And the post finish line was way too crowded - should be lengthened and only runners allowed in that area. Had to fight my way, gasping (post finish 400 yrd sprint) to find the water. Either move water closer and eliminate the non runners from the area or give me a goody bag with water?!!! Super day and PERFECT running conditions.

In short: Hilly and horrible
In full: Long 9 miles of hills before you get the down hills you deserve, bit steep for a bit of brass and no ribbon!

No goodie bags which is a dissappointment but great support!
