In short: A few horrible hilly bits but still a fun race. Well organised good water points and plenty of marshalls.
In full: I think the organisers looked over the city to find the hills and then routed the race to hit them all!

In parts there were very few spectators - from about 8.5 miles to 9.5 miles along the Coventry (A429) it was a very straight run - but so few spectators! - It was a bit bleak.

The old lady supporter with the chocolate was a gem - as were the Haribo girls. Those are the spectators you need.

Enjoyed the race though and lovely medal at the end.

In short: Great organisation, lovely atmosphere, Nice bits through parks & university and a few tough hills to sort the men from the boys!
In full: My 1st HM and thought it was great. Seemed really well organised and everyone very friendly. Great atmosphere at the start and finish, loads of marshalls, 4 well placed drinks stations (water & gatorade at 8m) and lots of support along the route.
Special mentions to the ladies handing out jelly sweets (along Charter Ave?) and the lad with water, choc and bananas around 10m - you made my day!!
Few tough hills - notably around Allesley Hall Drive, Park Hill Drive area (4m) & leaving Warwick Uni campus (8m). Still, the final few miles are flatter with a downhill finish.
Considering this race was only £16 to enter (compared to Stratford 1/2 @ £28) I felt it was a bargain. Plus with 2500 entrants it was big enough to feel like a 'real' race, yet not too crowded or intimidating to us newbies! Will definitely try and be back next May.

In short: simply the best
In full: yet again, coventry comes out on top for half marathon organisation - friendly, plenty of toilets, great family entertainment at the start (moshing to a rock band - superb!), well organised time pens for the runners, drinks stations good. Birmingham take note! If there was one whinge, didnt know that the T-shirt was for sale at the start of the race - having said that it was pointed out when i used my magnifying class to check the small print in the pre-race magazine afterwards. But overall, another excellent half mara. It's growing in stature and numbers, and hopefully will not succumb to the numbing commercialism of the monster that is Birmingham! See you in May!!

In short: A great course, good atmosphere and very well organised.
In full: This was my 3rd half marathon and by far the best. The weather helped to make the day but I found the course surprisingly scenic.
There were a few uphills but these were evened out with some good downhills too and so I still managed a pb.

I thought the race was very well organised and marshalled and was impressed to receive the text straight after crossing the line which gave my timings.

Will be back next year!

In short: Well done Coventry, I am sure this event will continue to grow.
In full: Great day, well organised and marshalled, excellent atmosphere. City should be well proud of the day. Being a Brummie from up the road and having done the Birmingham Half marathon 2 weeks ago, Birmingham could learn a lot from this event. Will be back again next year. A big pat on the back to all those involved.

In short: Always a pleasure
In full: I adore this race. Very friendly marshalls and helpers. Plenty of support along the way and a top atmosphere. Glad to see it's getting bigger by the year, and that there's only 8 months till the next one.

In short: Well done Coventry - another fantastic Half Mara
In full: I think this is a really well organised race - I love it more each year - thought the hills had got bigger though! One thing I would have liked is a turkey in my goody bag to go with the cranberry sauce from the Birmingham Half a couple of weeks ago!!!!

In short: By far the best race I have ever entered.
In full: Excellent organisation, ideal amount of runners however next year I would expect there to be more as this race moves to May.
Some tough hills and windy conditions made this a good challenging run helped by excellent marshalls and crowd support and plenty of drinks stations.
Well done organisers .
goody bag could do with something in it though.
