In short: well organised race plenty of pace
In full: Well organised run. Plenty of parking. Very flat course PB achieved. Windy. Nice finish which you can see from about 600m away. All in all a good morning well worth the distance travelled for the race.

In full: As is usually the case with long standing club events the organisation was outstanding. Parking was was very good, on hard standing, with plenty of space.
The weather was just right and i liked the switchback on the airfield in the first 3k of the race. It allowed us normal runners to see the elite runners in action as they steamed back past us going in the opposite direction.
There were spectators and photographers dotted all round the course which was marshalled safely. I hardly noticed the non race traffic (in a safe way of course) that had to pass us.
Very good run for me and i will do it again. Thanks to the organisers and volunteers, you did a great job.

S.

In short: Fast, flat and friendly
In full: I had a shocker but it didn't stop me appreciating lots of hard work and organisation. The course is flat and fast, it was nice to see the leaders double back past you at one point. Marshals were fab, incredibly encouraging and definitely stopped me from bottling it and giving up at several points. I'm told the cake stall and massage at the end was great too.. I look forward to smashing this year's time at this race next year ;-)

In short: Great organisation, definite pb potential
In full: This is my club's race but I had very little involvement in the organisation (apart from banking the cheques!) and was really impressed with how smoothly it went on the day. From a runner's perspective, pretty much flawless. And I quite enjoyed the scenery too - airfield yes, but surrounded by fields, making it oddly atmospheric. I didn't get my hoped-for pb, but I'd put that down to having raced on the Thursday evening rather than any fault with the course! The lack of T-shirt/medal/momento was a deliberate decision as they're quite pricey, and we wanted to maximise the amount raised for charity. It looks like we'll have raised over £1,500, possibly close to £2,000, for Oxsrad, Oxford's disability sports centre, so many thanks to everybody who supported the race - 2008 was definitely our most successful yet.

In short: A lovely 10k.
In full: A really nice route on quiet country roads and an airfield. All the marshalls were helpful and encouraging and I managed a PB (no windy bits this year!) even though this was my first race for a year and a half. Lovely tea and cake at the end - shame about the weather. Thanks Headington Road Runners!
