In short: friendly and good venue, some organisational glitches
In full: The course was as it promised, mildly undulating, all on reasonable roads, and the wind was the same for everyone so can't complain about that! The directions to the start from the town were fine and we had no problem parking for free on the High Stree quite near the venue. HUFC was a great HQ, plenty of loos, warm and dry and even better a well-stocked bar for afterwards! The organisers were friendly and the marshalls still smiling in the cold wind and eventual rain. Unforgiveable to have nobody at the 2nd waterstation, especially by the time I was there after over an hour - though I always carry a drink so was not personally affected. Too many people strolling about unmarshalled as we slower runners were trying to sprint to the finish. I think a shoebag is a good freebie though something sugary and edible inside would definitely have helped! If the organisation and the marshalling of the runin to the finish improve this will become an excellent race and I did enjoy it. My other half bizarrely ran a PB despite hills and wind!

In short: Poor organisation ruined this race
In full: What was the start all about? Issuing a four min warning and then just starting the race two mins later without any warning. Then 15 secs later the hooter goes when it was clearly too late.

This race was very difficult to get to by car or on foot due to the narrow road entrance. The car park was a farmers field full of cow pats and muddy - so not a race to take the family to.

The memento was nothing more than a bag and even that was given out begrudgingly.

On the plus side, this was an attractive course and the marshals were friendly. A little hilly in places but not too bad. The wind played its part, but the course was fiarly sheltered.

There is not many races I would cross of my list but unfortunately this is one of them. :-(

In short: Loved the challenge - shame about second drinks station.
In full: Enjoyed the challenge and glad the rain held off. Start was a little bit chaotic and to have one of the two water stations unmanned was unforgiveable. Was promised lessons will be learnt for next year and will be back.

And it may not be a PB course ... but I set a 10M PB :-)

In short: Good race, and better weather this year
In full: A good race again, and what a change from last years hideous weather. I echo some of the comments about the unmanned water station at 7 miles, but I bet its something they make sure they get right next year. That said, the marshalling was otherwise excellent as usual and I'll be back again.

In short: Challenging course, great run; tweak the organisation
In full: Rain held off so compared to last year's "weather from hell" race this was a walk in the park. Great course through decent countryside - yes a couple of tough climbs but gives a great workout at race speed.
Start was hit and miss (need megaphone and working claxon), also unmanned water station at 7 miles. Otherwise good organisation and great marshalls. Shoe bag an ok freebie but a bananna in it would have been nice. Great to get use of HFC shower/changing room. All in all a good race though.

In short: Happy with my own run, but a little annoyed about the water station at 7 miles surely they could of spared somebody!!
