In short: Organisation excellent, supportive crowds & friendly marshalls. Well done
In full: It's a shame this is possibly the last!! Not enough support from local & government agencies for these events considering health is top of their agenda! Well done Ron McAndrew and all those behind the scenes, thanks for all your hard work.

In short: Very fast par cours. Only complaint would be that timing chip wasn't used and they need more drink stations. Every 5 miles just insn't enough. Minimal every 5 kilometers next time please!

In short: Good, but could be better
In full: Reviewing the HALF.
Has all the ingredients, but somehow not quite right. Enough water, but not evenly spaced or where promised, I chose to miss two because they were too busy and had to stop (normally I drink on the run) at another to get water (in their defense I was at the end of big packs I suspect). No Chip timing, but not a huge field so even starting at the back made little difference. Real mix of abilities and friendliness - a lot of walkmans compared to most races I've done. Very flat course gives PB potential, but concrete promenade is really tough on the joints. Lucozade, water, medal, T-shirt and a real "goodie bag" with not just leaflets for once is a very refreshing change. Support is very localised - supporters around the start/finish are great and great marshals, helpers etc., but a feeling that the locals/ stag parties were not bothered. Organisers had got a lot right, so thanks, but a few tweaks could go a long way

In full: A special race for me as Iran this marathon in memory of my mum who passed away in April 08. A nice atmosphere and seasonal sunshine made this a memorable race. My 3rd marathon and a PB of 3hrs 41mins 30secs made this a fitting tribute. Well done to all the organisers. Shame to hear this was the last one.

In short: A well organised race. Reasonably flat course. Good support from the marshalls and people manning the drinks station. Hope this isn't the last time the marathon run. Thanks to all concerned with arranging the race

In short: Flat 2 lap course that has great PB potential, but needs CHIP timing
In full: The 2 lap course was quite interesting, but got a bit boring the second time round.

In short: Flat Route - Excellent PB potential but failed on organisation again
In full: Ran it 2 years ago and was told there would be prizes for 1st,2nd and 3rd for each age group - after race, when i queried my prize they said they only had money for 1st place.
This time I only entered it as it stated CHIPPED, then the information was sent out stating they werent doing it CHIPPED. For a marathon where you want a specific time then CHIPPED is important. For that reason alone I wont do it again however I was lucky I got my GFA from Gun Time alone
