In short: Beautiful Scenery, well organised and challenging! In full: This was my first time at running the Eccup 10, and there were a lot of club runners. It was well organised, i applied online and picked up my number on the day. The route was relatively flat for the first 6 miles, then it got 'undulating'! Plenty of water and encouragement from the marshalls along the way. It was a really enjoyable event, and all finishers recieved a little glass trophy; which was a lovely touch. Will be back next year. Date of review: July 10, 2011
In short: Challenging but excellent race!! In full: Really liked this race, lovely scenery, and lots of undulations. The technical t-shirt you get at the end is worth the entry fee alone! It's a little challenging, especially due to the wind but not too bad, I'll be back next year! Date of review: July 17, 2010
In short: Definitely undulating In full: A good, friendly and very scenic race. Not much flat - very up and down although uphills fairly gradual. Quite blustery in places with plastic cups blowing down the roads, but happy with my time so may give it another whirl next year. Date of review: July 14, 2010
In short: My favourite race of the year! In full: The friendly marshalls and lovely scenery make this a race to really look forward to. I had been hoping for another nice rucksack to replace last year's,which has been much more useful than a T-shirt. I'll have to make it last another year.... Date of review: July 12, 2010
In short: Rolling course but still quick In full: Last minute decision to run this and glad I did. Very well organised and friendly race.
The course was undulating rather than any killer hills, with longer inclines than the sharper downhill sections, particularly through the trees to the reservoir. The section on the far side of the reservoir was stunning although the wind was pretty gusty and made for slower progress.
Great encouragement from the marshalls.
Great Tech T-shirt for all finishers. Thanks to all at Abbey Runners, will definitely be back next year!! Date of review: July 12, 2010
