In short: My first Half Marathon
In full: I really enjoyed my first Half Marathon. Very well organised, and the marshalls were brilliant. The hills were a good challenge, especially the second big one at the 10 mile point, when my legs were feeling heavy to say the least. I would love to do this race again next year.

In short: A challenging half with superb organisation.
In full: My second year at the Newtons Fraction and I will be back again. The course is fast despite the two hills and the cold wintery conditions today.
The race is great value with ample car parking, a goody bag including a technical T-shirt and a bottle of local real ale. Hot showers and catering facilities on site were just what runners needed on a day like today. Add to this a very friendly upbeat atmosphere which make this a must do race.
Well done Grantham AC.
See you next year.

In full: Two killer hills makes a pb impossible. Lovely scenic route but the hill at mile 10 is obscene!! The conditions of snow & icy weather was also unexpected. Friendly marshals offering support and a good hard training run for any future races!

In short: Great
In full: Great views, friendly welcome, well organised and good marking. Very friendly crowd to run with and we all shared the snow and wind in equal measures. I will certainly be there next year. Yellow T Shirt next year please.

In short: Tough today!
In full: Very very well organised, encouraging marshalls challenging course, goody bag containing what you need at end of run - a mars bar, kitkat chunky and crisps! There are two big hills which normally add to the challenge but today the weather took over- very cold, snowing and very windy - the canal parts were slippery and very muddy!

In short: O.M.G!
In full: This race is excellent but those b****y hills just about killed me off. They seemed to go on forever.(Think I need to do some fell running in training!)I did the Sleaford Half 2 weeks ago. The weather conditions were better, nice undulating course, felt relaxed and comfortable and I got a PB; so, personally, Sleaford Half is the better of the two races. However, N.F is a well-organized race; the marshalls are friendly and supportive and the goody bag is nice! Chip-timing - great. And what a lovely orange Tec T-shirt. Smashing. (Sharon, race no: 464)
(Well done, Odette. Thank you.)

In short: Ouch!
In full: A tough course made all the more terrible by the conditions - the organisers must provide Sunshine next year!!!! Really enjoyed though and a great stadium finish and goodie bag. Well done to the people in charge.

In short: Well done Grantham AC
In full: This is a cracking race, certainly one where a PB is possible. There are two big hills, the first after six miles at an average of 8.5 per cent gradient and the second after 10 miles at 5.3 per cent, but the downhills and flat sections make up for this and hey, if it was easy it wouldnt be worthwhile. The techy shirt is great and overall you can pay double elsewhere and not get a race half as good. See you next year!

In short: There's pain in them there hills
In full: Great friendly, well organised race. Good value for money, especially given the quality of the finishers tech t-shirt. Marshalls were very encouraging and water was plentiful. Only improvement would be to some of the road crossings, but thats a failry minor niggle.

In short: Good race, quite hard route in places.
In full: The two places where runners cross the roads on the way back need to be marshalled a bit better otherwise there is an accident waiting to happen
