In short: could be better with more organisation
In full: not enough toilets at the beginning, ten toilets for all those people, get real!!!
I thought there would be more first aid posts along the way, many more people would have run this race than others because of it being through the tunnel, they may need something more along the way.
things at the finish were hecktic, having to pass through spectaters to get water, goody bag, baggage, etc.
no changing at the end,no loos,no t-shirt & wrong date on medal.

In short: Special mention for Vic Southern, 1st 10K.. with Parkinsons' Disease!
In full: Travelled up from Croydon, South London to run with my uncle in Tunnel 10K so it was going to be memorable whatever the outcome!
The facilities at the start were basic. £2.50 to park all day, although not expensive, not what I expected, previous races have provided free parking. And toilets... you guessed, never enough! Baggage facilities were excellent though with kit safetly transfered to the finish in New Brighton.
The route to the tunnel was quite wide at first allowing PB seekers to get into a good rythym and vanish leaving slower runners to enjoy a more sedate pace! The entrance to the tunnel was as expected, WIDE/lots of elbow space! Now the fun could begin, 1.2 miles flat-out / freewheel to the bottom (where the Liverpool & Wirral crests were visible up on the left wall) then deal with the incline and the sting in the tail as you exit the tunnel up-hill to the watering station at 5K.
Bottles or paper cups? You can obviously run with bottles which hold more but cups crush underfoot... and hold less! Was amused by the girl chasing/collecting the empty cups in the wind!
The rest of the course was a pleasure although was suprised to see an old man approaching us from behind in a CAR just before we saw the submarine on the right!
The run along the riverside from Seacombe ferry to New Brighton was glorius with sunshine and a nice breeze from behind. Good support along this strech was welcome and the finish was all too soon.
Goody bag had organic & fairtrade products- nice touch and medal was ok although not correct date due to race being re-scheduled, no t-shirt?!
Had a chat with 4 wheelchair entrants, one who finished in 24mins and startled the police in the tunnel by exceeding the speed limit!
The free train journey back to Liverpool and 2pm deadline was an welcome extra which allowed us time to have a pint and relax in New Brighton on a lovely day.
Special mention to my uncle Vic who ran his first & probably last 10K. We finished in a time of 1 hour 10 mins which is fantastic for a man who has had Parkinsons Disease for two years and can't swing his left arm or raise his left leg properly. I was well impressed as my PB is 51mins so he must have dug deep to complete this course.
I see a PB potential in this race and will return next year whenever it's scheduled, just hope the organisers & council can get it on amicably.

In short: Great, well organised race.
In full: First race for me at aged 61, although did plenty of running years ago for personal fitness.I used to do 6 miles in around 36 minutes. Did this 10K in 1hour 10mins. Hope to improve on that next year. Enjoyed the run, great support from people along the way, and an emotional run in at the finish with my wife watching.
