In short: Great place to run made more festive by the snowfall. If it had been above freezing the wood would have become even more of a quagmire! Excellent communications leading up to the race. Date of review: December 21, 2009

In short: A friendly, festive race despite snow, ice and a very steep hill! In full: This was my first Pudding Dash and what an enjoyable race it was. The weather had meant the course had to be changed to avoid the worst of the icy patches meaning we had to run up the rather large hill instead of down it; a wise decision given the conditions but I found the hill a bit of a killer! The organisers really did a great job of emailing everybody the day or two before to let them know what was happening - this was very much appreciated and despite a real disappointment with the couriers not being able to sort out the medals there was still a pudding at the end for everyone. Beautiful scenery and lots of fancy dress plus it was really nice to be able to see the youngsters run in their one mile course. Date of review: December 20, 2009

In short: Glorious winter conditions. In full: Well done to Martin Burke the race director for the constant stream of race information with the adverse weather conditions. As it turned out the race was glorious - snow everywhere and bright sunshine with clear skies. Plenty of room to mill around in the warm before and after the race. It's a shame that it has to be a 2 lap course. The setting is wonderful - any chance of making it a single loop? In short: Weather conditions made for a scenic but 'watch your step' race In full: No queue for the toilet and refreshments available inside. Thought the location was scenic and the marshals were encouraging.Enjoyed the race but was really disappointed it was not the 5 miles it claimed to be. Date of review: December 19, 2009

Enjoyable course, fantastic seasonal scenery and a great atmosphere. Well done - loved it and will be back for a third go next year. Perfect start to the festive sillyness. In short: Lovely race really enjoyable In full: Well done to Martin for pulling it off against all the odds. That hill took my breath away the first time around but loved the mud and snow through the woods. Even the A21 behaved itself on the way back to Gravesend. Date of review: December 19, 2009
