In short: hilly,hard but pretty
In full: tried this to compare to Eyam, found it much harder but this may be due to the unexpected sunshine during the first 8 miles. felt like i was climbing through out the run but great sense of achievement after.

In short: Glorious setting but a beast of a run - no where near my PB, but then I am a wussy inner-city road runner.

In short: very scenic and enjoyable but hard race.
In full: Absolutely stunning scenery almost makes you forget how much pain your in whilst trying to climb the many hills on route.Excellent marshalling and organisation and gave me a massive sense of acheivement when i finally reached the finish line and even managed to put on a little sprint past the greatly appreciated cheering crowds at the funnel/finish.

In short: Fun In The Sun
In full: Gorgeous scenery in a shamefully overlooked area of the Peak District.
All ups and downs with v.little flat (just how I like it!)
Great start/finish venue at Pavilion Gardens kept kids amused.
V.well organised (easy EOD, in my case 20 mins before start!) lots of marshals.
Free T-shirt to boot!
Will deffo do this again :y:

In short: Great views. Good fun(!). Just watch out for traffic.
In full: Only my second half-ma and I was intimidated by the thought of the hills beforehand, but it wasn't that bad. I agree with most of the positive comments and the whole event was very friendly. There were a couple of places where interaction with traffic was a bit too close and certainly had road-kill potential, but it was, overall, a great experience.

In short: Challenging and scenic. Head down for the uphills but well worth a look round on the downhills!

In short: Tough but memorable race and a nice location for the family
In full: This was a tough hilly race, but not as bad as I was expecting from the impression I got from the course profile - anyone who has a few hills in their training runs can take this race on. The scenery really is special, as everyone else says. Buxton makes a great family day out and any non-racing family and friends will be more than happy in the pavilion gardens (weather permitting) while the race is on. Thanks to the use of the showers in the swimming baths, we stayed for the rest of the day and had a picnic in the gardens. Very well organised and overall a great race - I will definitely be back next year.
