In short: Wonderful - a must do for off-road enthusiasts
In full: Stunning scenery, challenging terrain, a real sense of achievement when you make it to the finish line. Superbly organised, friendly fellow runners and a rather nice t-shirt too.

In short: Another cracking race on the Dorset Coast. Not to be taken too lightly however as the ascents are very steep!
In full: Great race and competitive without losing friendliness of the participants and ramblers that we all met en route. Slightly bewildered by the description as "half marathon" when my Garmin recorded 12.23M - what happened to the extra mile?! Great race though and good exercise. The second set of steps was tough going even at walking pace.

In short: Tough but fun.
In full: If you like going down hill then this is the race for you. Of course you have to go up hill first. Or up steps. Lots of them. As I came around the corner for my first ever site of the Beast, involutarily out of my mouth came the phrase ' Oh God. You're joking? I have to run up there?....' (There may have been some more unrepeatable Anglo-Saxon type language, but you get the gist!). Smooth as silk oganisation, very encouraging marshalls, lovely countryside a real pleasure to run. I will be going back next year for my second race with the full knowledge of what's around the corner.

In short: Ouch, a must for all the masochistic runners out there!
In full: My 1st Beast. Superb race, tough hills (the steps were a killer), stunning scenery. A huge thank you to the marshalls for the constant encouragement. Will definately be back next year (with a bit of luck the training will be injury free next time). Thoroughly recommend this race if you're not scared of a few steep hills.

In short: Tough but Enjoyable
In full: very scenic race, the dorset countryside & coast is glorious. Although the first time you see Corfe Castle it looks specatcular but boy does it look a long way away.
The race is tough, lots of hills and those steps nearly broke me, but the last few miles are generally down hill so you can relax and look at the view.

In short: A Beast to run but a beauty to see!
In full: Loved the scenery and the country smells as you ran past the farms! If you want to go fast get to the front, there's lots of stoppages for gates etc. Mile 10, after making my way up the 2nd set of steps, was the hardest part for me. Amazing last 2 miles, a steady down hill with stunning views of Corfe Castle. I'll be back next year with the rest of our team - The Swamp Donkey's! Off to Gold's Hill next :)
