In short: Tough hills, not a pb course In full: Good race, well organised and marshalled. Good parking, easy to register, good mix of club runners and fun runners - certainly enough to make an average runner look good! Date of review: March 28, 2010

In short: A rather disappointing route In full: Rather disappointing route especially along the A road at the beginning and end. The route was not traffic free. The estate that some other runners have criticised was probably the best part as this was where the most spectator support came from. The route needs to be more rural in 2011 for me to return. In short: Excellent race - tough start In full: Tough start for the first few kms winding up country lanes but levels out after with the occasional undulation. Very pleasant atmosphere, very well organised and marshalled. Would definitely do it again next year - the cake stall was fantastic! Date of review: March 28, 2010

In short: Well organised race. In full: Excellent and well organised 10k. Plenty of marshalls for encouragement and traffic management as not on traffic free roads. Testing course as there is a medium hill at 2k then undulates for 3K. Managed to break 40 mins and over one minute faster than last year. Date of review: March 28, 2010

In short: Brilliant! In full: A lot hillier than I'd expected, the 2nd Km in particular but overall it was a good race, the marshalling and organisation was exceptional. Extremly friendly! Would recomend for beginners (I am one and I survived) but only if your prepared for some hill running. Date of review: April 1, 2009

In short: Take the rough with the smooth In full: Friendly and course undulates enough at the beginning to get your legs going. Poor marshalling at end (entry lane to football club) and finished runners and supporters not paying attention made it difficult to finish well. I know we were told it was not traffic free, generally ok, but the driver of the small red car insisting on driving through the entire pack in the first km - where were they when the brains were handed out? A way of dealing with this would have been good. Grotty last few km through housing felt like we were just making up distance. But otherwise friendly, well supported, good cakes, lovely scenery (first half). Date of review: March 24, 2009

In short: Plenty of Up but enough DOWN to be fun as well. Brilliantly organised! In full: Had a mare of a run because of a tummy bug but the event was terrific. The climb up monument hill was challenging but the course was pretty benevolent after that. Definitely do it agin. Date of review: March 16, 2009

In short: Lots of stewards - thanks for your efforts. Hills/scenery at start made for a good mixed run. Date of review: March 13, 2009
