In short: Wet and windy but well organised
In full: I had my doubts about this race after trekking across a boggy field to use the loo at the beginning (I still don't understand the logic- wet, cold feet at the start...), but the rest of the race was really well organised. The marshals were smiley despite the awful weather, the finish was well-handled and goody bags excellent. That all made up for the tough middle 3 miles in rain and high winds!

In short: Another very well organised friendly event despite the rain & wind
In full: 16th Consecutive time I've run this & it grows on me every year. Faultless organisation, even with enforced wet-weather adjustments to the finish. Really friendly marshals and water-kids who showed real spirit standing in the rain. Wet & windy up Harvest Ride but took your mind off the hills.
Well done again Chris Vaal & team

In short: A good race despite the weather
In full: A huge thanks to everyone who made sure this happened this morning. The weather was filthy but plenty of great marshalls and supportive locals made it enjoyable. Managed a good time too!

In short: Well organised race. Shame about the weather
In full: Second time here and once again well done to the organisers and a big thankyou to the cheerful supportive marshalls. Last year the weather was lovely but this year it was awful. Running the uphill section from mile 6 to mile 9 into the wind was horrible! Still, that is the British weather for you I suppose. The atmosphere was very good. This is a very friendly event and I was surprised how many locals turned out to cheer on the runners despite the rain.

In short: Great run!
In full: This was the first time I took part in this race and I really enjoyed it. Despite the weather the marshals were really friendly and supportive and the kids giving out water were really encouraging. The hills were challenging but nothing too difficult. Knocked 15 mins off my pb so absolutely chuffed with the day! Great goody bag too!

In short: A long-standing favourite event
In full: Excellent event. Course is quick and undulating, scenery is as good as it gets for Bracknell, organization is faultless and goody bag is generous. Huge thanks to all the organizing team this year for enduring such filthy weather. See you next year.

In short: Enjoyable Relaxed Environment
In full: It's well organised with great marshall and other volenteers - thanks to them all. The entry price is the lowest I remember paying for a half marathon and so is a bargain. The field is around a thousand so not much conjestion and easy parking near the start.
The course goes downhill for the firt 5 miles and then uphill from miles 6-9 or so. The total ascent is about 120m through the whole race. This means that pacing and energy mangement is important. The scenery is mostly urban but you'll be too focused on running to notice that.
It's quite a relaxed race with a big range of abilities. I enjoyed it

In short: Best half marathon in the South
In full: Superb organisation and great value for money as always. Puts other local half marathons to shame. Looking to run your first race, you can't go wrong with this one. Will be back again next year.

In short: Perfect event
In full: Despite the forest fires, and road closures, the race went ahead, smooth as ever, very well organised.
Other events could learn a lot from Bracknell, The finishers bag had water/sports drink/cerial bar/medal etc inside, AND a T shirt !
Great route, Good fun challenge.
Well worth doing, no wonder it sells out early every year.

In short: Great half that provides a good challenge
In full: As a plodder, I entered this one with hopes of dipping under two hours after coming close at Reading. That all went out of the window between miles 7 and 10! At the time those long hills seemed like hell on Earth, but now the aches have faded they just seem like a good challenge. A great little run with solid organisation and inspiring local support. Next year I'm keeping plenty in reserve in the early miles!
