In short: Flat & fast PB course
In full: Although the majority of the course is run around the outskirts of the town and housing estates, their are some nice views across
Stokes Bay.

The course is well marshalled and you never feel threatened running along the main road. Running through the housing estates is also quiet and fairly traffic free. Views include Stokes Bay, Gosport Marina and Spinnaker Tower.

In short: PB heaven
In full: Flat, very well organised and nice scenery. Good support from the marshalls and very good weather as well. Excellent PB potential - I took 7.5 minutes off mine ! Initial loop of 1 mile followed by twice round a 6 mile loop meant that supporters got to cheer you on several times. Only criticism was the lack of water ready to grab at the first water station. Would definitely do this one again.

In short: Well organised flat and fast course with excellent PB potential
In full: A flat course with 2 laps of the more scenic parts of Gosport as well as residential areas. Definate PB potential this year with near perfect weather conditions. Some good crowd support dotted around the route. Reasonable value and course good for beginners at this distance. Very well marshalled and policed.Well done Gosport Road Runner! Shame the showers were freezing cold - I will have to speed up next year to finish before all the hot waters gone! Nevertheless an very enjoyable race!

In short: Excellent value and organisation. Some of the supposedly "bigger" races could learn a thing or two!

In short: Very enjoyable run
In full: Excellent day. Nice quick two lap course, very friendly support and good marhsalling. Nice to run past the boats on the second lap gave us something to look at.

My only slight negative point were the directions on the day for getting to the start / car park. No roadside signs. But apart from that all was good.

In short: Excellent marshalling - thank you. Good day out and we were lucky with the weather. Need to sort out the baggage queue though.

In short: Friendly marshalls, nice scenery, some pavement running
In full: Great event, this was my first half marathon and i was a bit concerned it would be for club runners primarily, and there was a lot of club runners but plenty of unattached runners too.

Marshalls were extremely friendly and supportive to everyone without exception.

Good support from the crowds around the start/finish areas, and along the seafront - less so when going through the town though.

Mostly pavement running once the bunching at the start has dispersed after 3 miles. There is the occasional impatient driver (but that's Gosport for you!) but these are more than easily handled by the many police dotted around the course.

Overall an excellent day out, good organisation, and i'll be back next year - a big thanks to everyone at Gosport Road Runners who made this a great event!
