In short: Great race for charity runners and new runners; good cause
In full: Feel bad about being negative as it is a good cause and raises loads for charity, and is in Jane's memory. Is great for new runners or those who want the atmosphere of a big event without too long a distance and not too clubby. Problems due to so many people - toilets, baggage return delay, congested course; Also a couple of stewards were rude and unhelpful. Hope it continues and problems get ironed out

In short: A CONGESTED GRAND 'DAY' OUT
In full: Congestion and the baggage queue could not dampen my spirits. A special day for many...

In short: It's for charity
In full: It’s hard to be too negative about this race because of the cause, but just a couple of niggles: my time wasn’t too horrendus (just over the hour) but by then I was too late for a medium or small T-shirt – all taken by the skinny speed merchants I guess, also those of us not seasoned markers do like to know how far we’ve gone and it would have been nice to have something more visable in the first half and a bit of a count down in the last k would have helped me as by then I was desparate to finish and not knowing the area kept thinking the Town Hall must be round the next corner.

Due to the nature of the pedestrianised area City the stragglers get a bit lost amongst the shoppers which is a shame as they desearve a bit more recogntion in my view.

All in all it won’t stop me doing it again and it shouldn’t be compared to the slickness of the Great Run series which has a big machine behind it (hence the hefty price tag!)

If it’s going to get much bigger the route might need a rethink due to the congestion at the turnaround, and other corners early on.

In short: An excellent experience over a slightly challenging course. Congratulations to the organisers and the many charities for making it a magnificent event in Jane's memory.

In short: Poor organisation, lack of atmosphere
In full: Lack of support around the course (apart from two or three key points) and the long tedium of Meanwood Rd mean it wasn't a very inspiring run. I'm sure there are nicer parts of Leeds to run in. The charity side of it is good for getting non-runners joining in though.

In short: Really this is just a long Fun run
In full: The race is about honoring the Jane Tomlinson legacy, raising money for charity and having fun at the same time. This race will always be congested, hilly, potentially cold and you'd have to be daft not to do it.
