In short: Great, fantastic, well organised
In full: This is my secound year running this race and I must say its a fantastic event. Its well organised, a great route taking in road and woodland, the marshals are all very friendly and I even ran a PB!
The only downside was the bag at the finish was a little disappointing although the gorilla giving out bananas made up for it!

Highly Recommended.

In short: A testing multiterrain course with exceptional organisation and quite the most wonderful marshalls
In full: My first Petts Wood, and although a similar style course to the recent Chislehurst Chase, this was superior in every way. The organisers had thought of everything. Everything. My own race was ruined by a unshakeable side stitch but that only enhances my appreciation of the marshalls who, each and everyone, were nothing short of uplifting. Especially the chap at the top of the rise at 6k for the metaphorical arm around the shoulder. Samosas! and bananas at the finish were perfect and plenty of places to obtain a nice cup of tea.

In short: Once again an excellent, well organised race
In full: This is probably the best local 10k. It is well organised from start to finish. The course is a bit challenging in places which makes it more interesting - you probably won't be getting a pb out of this race. I like the way that PWR make proper use of the chip timing by setting runners off in batches according to ability - other race organisers take note! The marshalling was brilliant. Plenty of friendly marshals at the right places. The big electronic clock at 5k was a nice touch. How about seconding friends and relatives next year to do the marshalling and letting some more of the Petts Wood Runners compete too? See you all next year.

In short: One of the best in the South East
In full: O.M.G - I had such a wicked hangover - NEVER again will I break a promise not to drink when I have an event the next day!
That aside, the PWR put on one of the best events in the South East. It was such a happy atmosphere I had to hold back the sickness I was feeling for fear of upsetting people! Seriously, the organisers and the marshals are TOP DRAW. The weather had been wet before and made for great challenging conditions on the day. The route is a good mix of woods and roads, all junctions and turns had supporters and marshals on. Warm up at first gave my stomach some extra concerns as I am sure my brain had lied about the fact that the body was gunna have to run. I zoned out at the half way mark (LOVE the digital time display here)and set my mind to getting a reasonable time. The 2 man brass band add that extra bit of fun to the event. Came in under 50, and was amazed I didn't barff...("serves you right" I hear you say). fair enough.
I love this event and there's a quality medal and goodie bag at the end. Thank you PWR.

In short: My second 10k race, this is how they all should be
In full: Having just completed my first 10k race (Chelsfield) wasn't sure how it would compare, no comparison. This was amazing, tough course for a beginner but rewarding and well worth it. Will be back next year to improve my time. Thanks to all the marshalls.
