In short: Great organisation, challenging course and great atmosphere In full: My second year at Petts Wood, having braved the monsoon in 2013. This year the weather was much kinder and allowed the other addons, such as live music and beer tent, to happen.
It's a tough course, for sure, but one to look forward to grappling with every year.
I was particularly pleased this year to see that some of the minor concerns I had had in 2013 had been addressed in 2014. To me, this shows a real keen eye for detail in ensuring that runners have the best possible experience they can on the day. Specifically, this year the baggage tent was much bigger and better organised.
I'll definitely look to be back in 2015. Date of review: October 17, 2014
In short: Excellent, can't say enough good things about it!! In full: Unbelievable course, loved every single thing about it. Well organised, friendly people, dancing gorillas, live band in the woods playing you to the finish, running across train lines, open fields and gorgeous woodland. Although the 2014 has finished I am trying to enter 2015 already! Strong, strong, strong recommendation for all those reading this to enter Date of review: October 17, 2014
In short: Friendly and fun - it has made me love racing again In full: The live band both at the start and as a surprise element near the end were brilliant. It is a hilly, offroad course, so don't worry about the PB and just enjoy the friendly competition and beautiful route. Thanks to the organisers and marshalls for putting on such a brilliant race.
