In short: Well Organised Local Race
In full: Well organised low key event, the course is tough because there is no chance of getting into a rhythm, it's either uphill or steeply downhill. One minor gripe; could we have warm showers next year, then it'll get 100%

In short: Lovely course mostly on country lanes, exceptional value for money, well organised
In full: My second Alton 10 miles, much cooler this time but the hills were just the same! Although it's not a race to grab a pb, I really enjoy it. Nice scenery and well organised.

In short: Great scenery, but not for the flat-hearted.
In full: Lovely small-ish race, very clubby but also very friendly. A few steep uphills, some very steep downhills, and not a lot a flat in between, but it's a glorious place to run. Good medal too, which always goes down well.

In short: Perfect!
In full: What more can you ask for? Organisation was perfect, lots of indoor loos, a great course that was hilly without being cruel, smiling marshalls, frequent water stops manned by enthusiastic scouts, a good medal and your name read out over the tannoy as you finish.

Thanks for an excellent race.

In short: Excellent well organized race
In full: This is the first time I have run this 10 mile race and was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable the event was. A few hills made the course challenging, but running along country lanes with a little scenery took your mind of the inclines and the miles soon passed. Weather was a little chilly, but that is no ones fault. Will certainly consider coming back again.

In short: Undulating
In full:
I was definitely either running uphill or downhill for 10 miles.
I struggle with undulations and had only entered because it was a HRRL race - but I actually loved this course! Lovely views and a friendly bunch of marshals and runners.
Thanks to the scouts for manning the water stations a good job excellently done

In short: well organised race with plenty of ups and some very steep downhills!
In full: I was expecting much steeper uphills but wasn't too challenged by the hills on the course, in fact I felt that the downhills were steeper and quite heavy on the shins! Well organised race although presentation took a while to start but overall a good race - thank you Alton Runners. Nice medal too.

In short: Yes a tough race but well worth trying!!
In full: This race was well organised with plenty of marshals. The only downside I could see was a lack of toilets. People resorted to the bushes, as usual, but because the race is set in the grounds of a school for young people with disabilities this was rightly frowned upon.

I have done this race before but forgot just how hard the ‘undulating’ course was! I did hear someone at the start say that if you weren’t running up a hill then you’d be running down one, that wasn’t too far from the truth! But don't let this put you off, go for the challenge!

Obviously the good weather made the race slightly harder fort he athletes even if it was good news for spectators.

Nice course, 3 water stations, good marshals and a medal what more can you ask for??
