In short: Award for best marshals!
In full: If there was a Runners World awards category for best marshalling and organisation, this event would take it hands down.

Despite the extreme conditions, an army of passionate marshals braved freezing weather and continuos snow to make this run an absolute delight.

Beautiful scenery, challenging cross-country terrain, natures choice of mud or snow, great camaraderie and a nice t-shirt at the end - what more could a runner want.

My second time at the Benfleet 15 didn't disappoint. A huge thanks to the wonderful team that make it happen.

In short: Full of spirit but challenging conditions
In full: Despite the snow making the course tricky and unique, the scenery was outstanding as were the marshalls high spirits for the day. Hats off to the marshalls for standing out in it for hours on end. Very well organised and a great sense of acheivement

In short: An excellent muti terrain race with great support along the way.
In full: A superb effort by Benfleet to get the race on and the marshalls for standing around for hours in the snow today. It would have been easy to have called it off but full credit and what an experience. Many thanks again.

In short: Amazing.....
In full: Can't thanks the organisers enough for allowing the race to go ahead despite the snowy conditions. The marshalls were absolutely amazing, loads of them & every one of them smiling & with words of encouragement. First time I have completed this race but one of my all time favourites & will definitely do it again.

In short: No mud as in previous years but an uphill finish and the headwind made it challenging enough

In short: No better way to spend a Sunday morning
In full: This is a superbly organised race with friendly marshals, who are clearly passionate about running and offer support throughout.

It did have a more clubby feel but it's still very welcoming to beginners or those going solo.

The facilities were good and the route was well marked out, with clear directions, mile markers, good water stations and a nice start and finish (even though it was at the top of a hill!).

A good quality technical t-shirt awaits at the finish line and results and photo we're online within hours.

It's not chip-timed but a good filtering system means that times are accurate and numbers aren't missed (as with some other races).

The 15 mile distance was spot on according to my Garmin.

I understand the mud wasn't as 'enjoyable' as previous years - the wind however over delivered on its promise!

It's not a place to go PB hunting but it's certainly a beautiful multi-terrain run and a great addition to a winter training schedule (it'll put you on track for PB's in future runs).

In short: Great race in challenging conditions. Nice T shirt too. Liked the new course and start/finish location and would love to see it used in future.

In short: Wot no mud? Have to do with the Wind instead...
In full: 1st time at Benfleet 15... The cross country bits around the downs were great, the sea wall coming east to west very challenging, effort repaid with satisfaction at job well done.

Marshalls excellent, well stocked stations with goodies (mars bar, custard creams, jelly babies) and friendly racers.

Bit of a queue at one stile when we could've gone through a gate (which some/most people did), but next stile resulted in correct & proper british queuing at it's finest.

If you found a wedding ring, let me know.
