In short: Well organised family friendly event. In full: Great return for this event which is well supported by the friendly locals.
Organisation was excellent - no problem with collecting number rather than it being posted.
Course is basically flat, an extra drink station was welcome. The finish on the playing field in front of a large crowd was a personal highlight (as was a pb).
This is a cracking race, looking forward to next year. Date of review: May 10, 2009

In short: Great race, kids loved the fun run and atmsphere.Back next year. In full: Fantastic day. Done this race since it first started. Wife joined in this time and had a really good race. Great atmosphere at the start and finish. Lots of encouraging marshalls. Don't forget this is a very small village organising this event and what they do is fantastic. Always things to improve on - PA system, timing system. As a family event it's the best. Date of review: May 10, 2009

In short: Hot but enjoyable race day In full: Fantastic marshalling really positive, TWO refreshment stops (helpful with the heat today) and lovely community atmosphere (bouncy castle, families, burgers, cakes, teas, raffle, plant sale). Only downside was no drinks at the finish line but inside the building (those 50 odd metres enough to kill me by then!) Deffo will do again Date of review: May 10, 2009

In short: Dynamite In full: Really enjoyed the race. Level of organisation was outstanding. Tasty burgers and cakes, welcoming festival atmosphere and a big turnout offering lots of encouragement as you approach the finish. Big effort made out on the roads too - well marshalled, nearly as many cones as the M5! The course undulates gently but none of the uphill sections are very long or steep. Pleasant scenery on the way round, includes about 500m where you get to see everyone coming the other way. The only thing I'd improve would be some indication of results, or at least timing, soon after the race. Date of review: May 2, 2005

In short: Well run, good family day, lots of activities for non-runners... In full: Really enjoyed this race would have paid a couple of extra pounds for a medal, but no coomplaints. Plus compliments to whoever made the flapjack I had after the race. Date of review: May 2, 2005

In short: grat race - atmosphere is like a very friendly village fete. PB for me (41.12). Some genlt undualtions In full: What a great race. Great family day out, PB potential course, all abilities represented. Had a lovely sausage burger at the end. No markers on the road (although there was one at 1 mile) which didn't seem to bother me as I ran quicker than I ever had..... Date of review: May 1, 2005

In short: The high PB potential and good atmosphere make up for the naff T-shirt - lol In full: Please please race organisers try to offer a medal for all competiters and the promise of prompt (same day) online results - these two points are by far and away the biggest incentive to encourage competitors like myself, my friends, my club and EVERy other person i have spoke to!
