In short: A very well organised race
In full: I'd never done Swindon before and had heard all about the tough course, but no one had remembr to say how well organised it was, no issues at toilets queues, the course wasn't crowded and there was plenty or support from the friendly marshalls.
My only (very slight) negative was that I would have much prefered/needed a full sized bottle of water at the finish line, that small bottle just didnt quite rehyfrate me as much as I needed.

I am very likely to be back next year.

In short: Really enjoyed this race! Well organised.
In full: Everything you'd want from a race, loads of loos at the start/finish, massage tents, baggage storage all well organised. A medal and t-shirt and most importantly a good, albeit challenging course! Personally I found the down hills more punishing than the up hills, but, that was my knees rather than anything else! The drinks station at mile 3.5 and 10 deserve a mention for their support! The jelly beans and lollies were a nice touch. All in all a great race. Well done Swindon!

In short: up and down then up again!....
In full: I'm someone who enjoys a 'hill' but there were many long inclines and then sharp descents which made it a tough race. That said the organisation was very good, water stations superb and once finished the transition to get bags etc was as it should be.

In short: Good local run for the west country. Lots of incline so not a walk in the park
In full: Not PB potential with the amount of hils - but its nice and challenging. Great atmosphere and really well organised. Well done SHM. The drummers/brass band were great. Recommended for newbies and seasoned professionals alike.

In short: This race goes from strength to strength, The support out on the course is brilliant. It isn't the flattest half in the world but that is part of the appeal of Swindon.
In full: This is one of those races that you want to be bigger as it is so good but then it may loose some of its' charm. It is very well organised and extremely friendly. I thought the balloons across the road at the 3 mile water station was a nice touch, so too were the jelly babies, energy drinks, ice lollies at the 10 mile drinks station - really excellent - well done Swindon!

In short: Great organisation, great atmosphere, great race.
In full: Very enjoyable despite the weather. Also felt easier than last year's race day mini heat wave. Faultless organisation and crew. Good support where the course lends itself to it. Nice medal and goody bag. Maybe slightly biased as this is now my local half, but it's also my personal favourite and I'm already looking forward to running it again in 2010.
