In short: The trouble with the downhill start was the uphill finish!
In full: This is a great race - not to be missed. My first time on te new route as I was injured last year, and the climb back up from the bridge took me by surprise. The final uphill to the finish was no surprise, however, I was "looking forward" to it all the way round. It wasn't as muddy as I expected, and was even a bit firm in places.
Well organised, great atmosphere and an interesting, enjoyable route. Well done Amazing Feet.

In short: Another great year for the Wyre Forest MT 8
In full: My second time around the forest and I still thoroughly enjoyed the race. Same route as last year, although it was much muddier this year - definitely one for the Inov8's!!! Tough race with the mud and hills in the second half, but it's lovely to run through the forest. Shame it wasn't as sunny this year - last year was stunning! Friendly marshals and a great medal (with a Mars bar too). Only slight criticisms were about the car parking - no where near as good as in 2008. And also the announcements at the start could not be heard.

In short: Lots of mud, killer hills, glorious forest scenery
In full: This was my first time running the Wyre Forest M/T 8. What a fantastic experience. A nice, fast descent to begin with, loads of deep, gooey mud and water to get your feet dirty and wet, some killer hills to climb, and more fast descents. The scenery is fantastic, the marshals friendly, the atmosphere great. I loved it.

In short: surprisingly quick course
In full: there was a lot more forestry road than I was expecting - wish I'd worn a pair of shoes with some cushioning! last 1/2 mile a killer!

In short: ouch! that final hill hurt
In full: In spite on having a generally shocking race (I blame the Midlands xc race yesterday!!), a beautiful course with fantastic, supportive marshalls throughout. Thanks to all at Amazing Feet

In short: A great MT race in a wonderful setting
In full: Superb organisation and marshalling. Plenty of free parking, admittedly a short walk from the start / finish. Excellent medal, mars bar and drinks at the finish. Quite a tough second half to the race, but that's what makes it a great race. The forest is a wonderful place to run and I will definitely be taking part next year.
