In short: Extremely well organised and great value for money
In full: What an uplifting event! The first few miles are challenging on the trail part of the route but once onto the road section the pace picked up. I felt like I was running downhill for miles - I think the beautiful sunshine has this effect on me. I went to the event on my own but was soon chatting to other runners. Its a very friendly event. A big thank you to the organisers and marshalls - you should feel very proud of yourselves!

In short: Really good event, well organised and marshalls were fab! :)
In full: The event was very well organised and we received a lovely goodie bag and t shirt at the end. The timings were already printed out and stuck on the bar by the time I had got up there which was really good, and by the time we got back to the car we had received a text confirming our times - we were very impressed. the chip timing was also great and the chip is the best I have used so far - it just velcros round your ankle, no wires or unlacing your trainers etc...
This course would be a good one for getting a PB, there are a couple of nasty hills but mostly long flat stretches of road or field tracks, the last mile was horrible though :(
I would definitely do this event again - it was a good day.

In short: Great Half Marathon
In full: It was the third year i ve done this half marathon and i ve enjoyed every one.The course was slightly different this year taking the muddy and very slippery 2 or 3 miles out from last year. The new bit was a little muddy but nowhere near as bad.The Marshalls were fantastic again and the t-shirt and goody bag for the money we paid was excellent.

In full: definately a better route than last year, a bit slippy and muddy in places but it did rain the whole day before,on the day the weather was a bit cool but just right for running really, very cold for spectators, i was very cross at the end when i got my free hot drink but when i tried to buy one for my poor freezing husband they would not sell a cup of tea, think that needs sorting for next year i know there was a burger van outside but we wanted to hear the presentation which was inside. also the old favourite lack of toilet facilities for the ladies, i would have liked to see some portaloos nearer the parking, after a long drive the last thing you need is to find the nearest loos are a good walk away, apart from those two issues a great race i knocked 19 mins off last years time and set a new pb, so i was well chuffed, see you next year

In short: Well organised event - well done Sleaford Striders!!
In full: First time at this venue and found it all very well organised. A good course with a few good climbs en route. Thankfully the course has been changed from the previous (from what I was told) as I found mile 3-4 very boggy under foot. Other than that there was lots of support from the marshallers and the guys on the water stations. Here's looking forward to 2012!!

In short: Decent course, no real hills but a very muddy farm track section
In full: Excellent organisation at start and finish. Excellent marshalling. The 10.5 mile water station could have done with being at 9 miles The over enthusiastic marshal who walked out in front of me trying to force a cup of water into my hand should realise that when a runner runs in the middle of the road as far away from the water tables as possible, and makes no attempt to take a cup then that may be because they don't want a drink. Other than that a great event.

In full: An enjoyable event but was surprised at how much "of road" there was...certainly affected my time. Very friendly & well organised with a an excellent goody bag. Well done Sleaford Striders!
