In short: Get up at 6am? Drive 100 miles? Run 10 miles and get hip-deep in wet, stinky mud? Yes every time!
In full: Second time here and although the muck seemed a little easier than last year (ran 8 minutes quicker than 2009), I still loved it. See you all again in 12 months.

In short: Got a bit wet
In full: Surely you've got to be a bit unhinged to enjoy this sort of thing, but it seems that there's an entire sub-culture of people who choose to spend their Sunday mornings like this on a regular basis. I think I'm part of that sub-culture now! Great fun, and got better as it went on. Once you get to a certain stage, there's not much wetter or muddier that you can get and you learn to go with it. By the end I was loving it. It was my first trail race and the camaraderie was better than I've experienced at any road/park race before. Well organised, too. I'm very glad I was convinced to do it by a friend, who then dropped out the week before! His loss, my gain.

In short: I love these races, the more mud the better. I was exhausted but felt great.
In full: After doing the Pembrokeshire challenge a couple of weeks ago i thought i would do this one to get me gong again.
This tupe of event is such great fun and everyone should have a go. I was so tired at the end this year but i enjoyed every minute, Thanks to Mike and his team.
Plenty of mud, plenty of puddles, nice and cold. My wife wonders when i will grow up, i am only 52 and all the time people organise all this mess to play in, it will be a while. i love it.

In short: mud glorious mud !!
In full: lots more mud than last year plus horizontal torrential rain half way through definately made this the toughest race in hampshire this year. And then there was the turbo x zone - gets a good 8/10 on the 'tough guy' scale. just needs some things to climb over/ under !! . I wasnt as fit as last year so did much slower time. will get other poeple to do it in 2010. great fun
